Awesome fishing. You ever fish with shad? I myself always use a bluegill/bream for cut bait, and wanna try experimenting with other baits

Yes I have and love it! Once we are able to start using a cast net here in Nebraska (July) it is one of my favorite baits besides bluegill/bream. I also have used drum, crappie, white bass, and carp.

We have no "frame of reference". What does your boat look like? What tackle are you using and why? When did you start catfishing and why? What lake are you in, and why that location? Will this be a "catch and cook"? Why "round reels" as opposed to spinning reels etc. We want to be part of your experience. In order to do that, you have to share your experience.

I'm sorry I didn't answer any of that in the video for everyone. I'm new to the whole video thing and just want to share my experiences. I will work on giving you guys more answers in my videos and I will gladly answer those questions! I use the GX2 ugly Stix rods medium heavy and heavy. Baitcasters are just a preference of mine and like the feel, I was on a canal in central Nebraska because I know it has good size flatheads. It was not a catch and cook. I release all my flatheads I catch and rarely keep any channels.

@@Itlo1345 I do, I get massive channels, 30+ looking for flats. Got my biggest channel on the Kankakee river on the Indiana and Ill border. No flats though. A few small blues that tasted great, though.
