Personally I’d actually say I’m glad Black Adam flopped because I consider The Rock to be very full of himself, and there’s a lot of proof that behind the scenes he was basically attempting to take over the DCEU and become its ruling writer and producer. He debts this but there’s pretty solid evidence for it. I also didn’t like the Movie because originally Black Adam was meant to be the villain of Shazam 2, but the Rick hated Shazam for some reason so he was pulled from the sequel.

We honestly only needed like maybe 4 or 5 more DCEU movies for a sense of proper closure. A JL 2 and 3, firstly. Affleck’s Solo Batman movie A Man of Steel 2 And a John Stewart Green Lantern movie.

I feel the original score for the first Aquaman is really underrated. I was at least glad the musical themes from that film got carried over, but I’ll admit the score for this movie doesn’t really do anything to stand out on its own

Tbh, I just thought it was an OKAY movie. It's DEFINITELY a step down from the first movie. But I didn't think it was as bad as the critics were making it out to be. I do agree the humor wasn't great, it was hit or miss for me. In the end, I just felt it was a 6/10 movie.

Imo, I give the film a 7/10. Honestly, I would describe my experience as the opposite of yours. You said you got more and more bored as the movie went on, but I on the other hand got more and more entertained. Visually speaking, I think the final battle is on par with the final battle against orm. In fact, I liked all the fight scenes with manta. I also didn’t mind Manta being manipulated because it still feels like it’s mostly him considering that he’s got a motivation and his original personality. Also, I loved some of the music they brought back from the first movie and the dynamic between Arthur and Orm was also very good.

I'll be honest Aquaman 2 was the only DCEU film sequel that wasn't trash. Like wonder woman 1984 wasn't great, Shazam 2 was borning. The way the Flash film was made. It would have made a lot of since to be the last DCEU film.

WW84 is what happened when patty jenkins want to use 70's comic on new52 timeline. Its doesn't works like that. Both has different tone. At least aquaman 2 has the same tone as first one

I actually enjoyed The Flash more than this movie. Crappy effects aside, it was more entertaining and more of the jokes landed. This movie just felt like everyone knew it was going to bomb/ DC was likely to reboot, and they half assed the hell out of it.

I thought Aquaman 2 was pretty good I did have fun with it even though it has it's problems I like the stuff with Aquaman and Orm in the movie and Black Manta was great. It had some cool action and shots but there was some effects that either was good or not good. Black Manta being set aside at the end which I think was dumb he should've just been the bad guy at the end instead of the dead king or whatever. I'll probably give it a 8/10 Speaking of James Wan if you want another franchise you can maybe do a video on is the Saw movies. Since the 10th movie released last year and this year marks the 20th anniversary of Saw and we are getting Saw Xl this year it would be interesting to see your thoughts about the franchise.

I think people get too caught up with the idea of a movie not being a movie, and instead a small piece of a puzzle. I watch basically anything (not literally anything, some of the kids stuff I tend to avoid) Marvel or DC that comes out, and a good bit of it isn't really connected or important. Yet Doom Patrol, Sweet Tooth, The Sandman, and Bodies are some of the BEST DC projects I've seen. And I have high hopes for the upcoming Deadboy Detectives Netflix series, as well. For me, a movie or show isn't worth watching because it connects to something else. It's worth watching if it piques my interest. And it's only worth rewatching if I'm either insane, or if I enjoy the movie. So all the fans that didn't see any DC movie in the last year because "they weren't important" are extremely childish and spoiled in my opinion. Also, I guess that means nobody's gonna watch The Batman Part 2 because it's not connected and doesn't matter, right? Surely, you won't be hypocritical, right? Not a big deal, though. What other people do with their time is of no concern to me unless they make it my concern. But as far as the movie goes, I think it was pretty damn good. It's not a masterpiece or groundbreaking piece of cinema, but like, basically nothing based on a comic book is, so that's not surprising. But this was solid fun, and I actually preferred it to the first film. The horror aspects were better, Amber Heard's wig wasn't as distracting, the CG and VFX were better, and they gave Manta more time to shine. The weird flashbacks to the first film now and then were... Odd. But that's really the only part I didn't like. Oh, and Rupert's score was instantly amazing, and I'm glad he was kept on to score the film, because the themes he made for the first one were amazing, and he brought them all back for this, and did even more. Edit: This is probably the only time I have visibly and audibly disagree with you, Tex. But whatever. Subjectivity is a bitch.
