I somewhat agree with Kinge. I think the overall flat feeling of this album proves that he's outlived his ability to successfully culture vulture because he's not some poppin 22 year old rapper anymore. He's not done in terms of popularity, but as an "artist", seems like that's a wrap cause we just got an A side album of dope beats with 3 flows and a B side album of generic beats with 2 flows tops.

@anutoldlegend896 жыл бұрын
I can agree with him to a certain degree, the luster around Drake seems like it's fading. Having radio singles in today's world doesn't mean much of anything. He can't keep riding waves and expect people to follow with his music being mediocre, it's eventually going to catch up to him.
@Mega00030006 жыл бұрын
Call the album trash if you want....but to say that Drake's career is over, is just stupid. You sound stupid. People hated *Views, & More Life* yet Drake got even bigger after those projects...Ken just wants Drake to die sooo bad lol 😂
@Mega00030006 жыл бұрын
Drake was trending all day, before his album dropped. He went trending over a damn tracklist...And that was before he revealed that Michael Jackson was a feature. He put out a 2nd tracklist that showed his features, dude went trending again.
@anutoldlegend896 жыл бұрын
Mega0003000 I think he was just being extra when he said that. I just think he means that Drakes time as that guy is coming to a close. A lot of that album sales shit was around streaming. Not genuine sales. Views would've tanked if the RIAA rules and points system hadn't changed just weeks prior. And let's be honest, Drake is more successful because of his rollout rather than judgements made on his body of work. If people didn't listen to Drake because of his star power so to speak, then he'd be out of here, people don't listen to Drake with a critical ear like most artists.

Myke had me rolling at the end “this might sound mean, but I’m your best friend right now” 😂😂😂

This album did not meet the expectations of the brand we call DRAKE. Drake is given this classic album privilege, which isn’t deserving. We camp out for the album, wait in line for the album, search for greatness in the devoid album, and clap if there are two tracks on a double album. I think the question is why, more than how mediocre this album is. Lil Wayne who had a classic mixtape was not afforded this privilege, and he is suppose to be the president of their camp. My theory is that Drake is an example of an artist occupying the space of the commercial machine champ, and not necessarily the ppls champ. And since the majority of ppl take their cues from this machine, instead of being honest we hence have the Drake affect. With that in mind he will always sell, not because of his lyrical prowess, but because of the puppet masters(the industry) controlling the strings of the masses.

As much as I'm not a Drake fan, he's not done. He may not be able to put together a coherent album anymore, but that doesn't seem to matter to listeners who want mindless music. He just needs one or two hits and it's a wrap like Feefo said. Needless to say, this album just isn't good. ALSO, Ken saying Kanye is done is absurd. Did he not produce at least three great albums this summer? Come on man.

I agree, especially the points where his beef is really with Kanye instead of Pusha. I think this album's punch was ruined by pusha though. It would be a cool 7.5/10 judged by the massess instead of a 6.5/10 if Drake didn't anger Pusha.

The First 6.5???? 7.5??? Yo I think I'm listening to a different album lol. If Scorpion is a 7.5 then TC is a 20, NWTS is 14, IYRTITL is a 16... IMO it's just not good, it pales in comparison to his great discography thus far and it's underwhelming in it's own right.

Drake said "all i love is my bed and my momma I'm sorry" but he has a son? What a weird line to say. So does he love his child? He wants sympathy for having a child but then says he's only seen him once. It's confusing. It think he's pandering for sure. Drake is a sad pathetic sell-out corpse when he built his career on being genuine about his feelings and his life. Drake is over.

I think a lot of this album was written post Pusha T track. He definitely swapped out a couple of tracks, at the very least added different bars to throw his jabs in. For example Survival, normally his intros are 3+ mins, that short intro I felt was definitely a post beef track. Album was alright, couple tracks bump in the whip, not sure about the replay value.

People just actually like the song. I don’t know many people who don’t know the song word for word. People out here singing it like they made it sorry that doesn’t seem forced to me. I think y’all have a hard time accepting that people actually like him and his music. If you do not like him why keep listening every time he drops an album?
