Zucchinis, mushrooms as eggplants have a lot of moisture in them. Cut them up place on a paper towel sprinkle a little salt and watch the water pearl, then just pat dry. They don't need a lot of cooking time, just a little oil is fine (high heat). Another option try baking them either way works. Take it one day at a time, one thing or room at a time. Keep inspiring us to go on. Great Job.🥰

I can't imagine cleaning one single room at a time... I move room to room and as long as I finish a task in one room and don't leave it messier than I started, than it is just fine to move on and do something else. Moving forward is success! Although I don't get fully washing your dishes before the dishwasher, I see dishes being done in a way that makes you happy is way better than not doing dishes at all. Keep going!

Here’s what an ADHD diagnosis did for me…. It gave me a direction to research, to find solutions that had helped others. It helped me to understand why I couldn’t seen to do what everyone else did automatically. Meds didn’t work especially well for me, but like you, I was hesitant to take. I probably didn’t give them a fair chance. Mostly it helped with the damage and shame a lifetime of being called ‘dirty’. And gave me tools to help be a bit better.

You should really challenge yourself to just lightly rinse/wipe your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Having the dishes done really sets the tone for the rest of the house. When you put off doing the dishes because you need to wash them first, it tends to spiral. I’m speaking from experience. I struggle with perfectionism myself.
@prayerseabelo90737 ай бұрын

Don't take meds for ADHD. To many side effects of just not feeling great. As far as cleaning...it all comes together in the end. I work from one room to the next. But a wave of misplaced items just flows from one room to the next. It all comes together in the end. So as adults I think we can have a certain amount of control over the ADHD. I learn stuff, like clean the front room always first. It's where people come into our home. It's also where my husband and I relax in the evening. So that's become a habit, and I don't have to continually think about it or redirect myself. Love ya! Your ADHD friend from Wyoming.

Watching how many times you have to pick up your Dawn and squeeze a shot onto a dish/whatever made me think you need a hook up to a bottle so you just pull a trigger on your extendable faucet to put a squirt of soap in while you are running the faucet. You’re amazing & you work super hard! One suggestion to help overcome the paralysis that comes after a huge day of cleaning (I did this to myself all the time, too but the way!) is to assign a different room to each day of the week. I’m working on this tactic myself. For me I split it up like this: Monday- living room spaces Tuesday-laundry Wednesday- kitchen Thursday- bedrooms Friday-bathrooms Saturday- porches & car It may help! ❤😊

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the housework also. So I set myself a goal to clean the entire kitchen, for instance, and set myself a reward - watching a video in KZbin or playing my favourite game on the phone. Sometimes my goal is just to beat the clock and finish before the time set. I think that you should accept the cleaning as a neverending game we are playing. Whan I was bored from the cleaning and was negative, as you told, my brain was aware what I have to do but my body was denying to do it. Also I try to mantain the house not to clean constantly and try to clean as I go and never leave the room empty handed. Sometimes I have succes but sometimes not. I wish you to think and put yourself first and do what works for you. You are doing an amazing job! Greetings from Bulgaria! 😗

Veggie Prep tip: chop your summer squash and zucchini then put it in a collandar with salt sprinkled over it, toss to coat, let drain. Maybe 30 minutes. BONUS TIP: do same for your egg plant, and cabbage if you decide to grill or want a dryer product. Then you can pat the chopped/sliced veggies in a flour sack towel before cooking and to wipe off the excess salt liquid. Good Luck!

I don't have anxiety but I do this a lot. Start on one thing and end up doing something else....

@@gettingtidy2495 I do too! I start off in the living room, and I'll see a dirty dish or three and take it to the kitchen where I see that I need to load the dishwasher, so I do that. I notice that I need to wash dish towels, so I take them in the laundry room, and get a load of those started, and I notice laundry that needs to be put away, so I take that in the bedroom to start putting that away, when I notice a dish... annnnd this is the struggle. I'm doing better.

In Australia, with constant water shortages everywhere except the tropics, we try never to commit this eco-sin! Either wash by hand, or dishwasher, but never both!

@@anniegabriel5892 we have excessive rainfall and water here where I live. Crazy how ecosystems differ.

Not sure if you’re aware but that Sams floor cleaner is super concentrated and should be diluted 2 oz per gallon of water 😂 that could be why you don’t like the way it leaves your floors. Maybe you know & don’t care & in that case you go girl! 😉 keep up the good work

I too am former Army! That is how I met my husband as well!!! We joke around in the same manner! Don't beat yourself up if you can't get all the cleaning done in one day. Do it over a couple of days. Burning yourself out will not help your mental health at all!!! Accept what you can do in one day and say tell yourself good job today!!!

I do the same. It grossed me out to see food in my dish washer. Cleaning out the filter is gross. I'm my state we get so much moisture, not adding to the smell.

Clean when you're angry, or you can set aside 30 minutes each day to clean. You'll be surprised how much you can get done.

The other comment about the lighting being off is right for instance when you were washing the pans the sink and the surrounding area was really white. When you were folding the laundry the couch was very white. Thats what I have noticed so far, I am watching from a desktop computer not a tv so idk if that makes a difference. Loving the videos so far though!!

One of my mom’s worst cleaning chore is doing the dishes by hand because she’d have to wash her grandma’s dishes by hand and even her great aunts dishes. She vowed that she wouldn’t wash dishes by hand when she got her own house. She’s always had a dishwasher ever since. The older dishwashers you would have to prewash the dishes with the newer dishwashers a person really don’t need to prewash them.
