@@dylanmitcham1069 Dude the metacritic is 82 with only 103 reviews while the user score u know by gamers. Is only 51 with nearly 2k level of ratings. Also when I went to see the user reviews themselves it's very obvious people either love it or absolutely hate it as most reviews score it a 1 or a 10 and both of those scores are really rediculous. As no game is perfect and a game to be rated a 1 means it should be borderline broken as in non functional. Also I don't trust the 82 metacritic score as those reviewers often rate very bad games or games that are nearly universally hated at a high score. This game has alot of people not enjoying it to the point it's got a very mediocre score.
@dylanmitcham10695 жыл бұрын

But I don't like it when they remove reviews unless they can prove there just there to be insincere so if they remove the bad 1 scores I wanna see the 10 scores removed too. The game has too many flaws to be a ten. So it's insincere.

@@cortezbaldur413 I don't think they just randomly removed bad reviews. They probably looked at which ones were reported, fake email addresses, along with the content of the review. I kinda like the Zip-lines, they're the best thing in the game for getting across its themes of connections and how they help people. Its super hard to make a network of those things your self and you could only really use just your own on repeat trips, since you have to make them before you use them and you can't make them your first time _to_ a place so you could only make them on the way back. But if you play online you find that lots of other players have set up these networks for you, and you usually just have to fill in the occasional gap, making some of the biggest challenges trivial thanks to their support.

1I actually like the way the game plays, just a while back ago I replayed a classic, Fallout 1, and decided to quickly go through the entire series again. Only to end up quite disguised to noticing how Fallout 4 was less of a dark apocalyptic survival game, and more of a colorful slot-machine with many blinking lights and noises, trying to keep you drawn in, with a comic relief story. A lot of people seem to mock Kojima's methode of storytelling, but you cant deny its interesting, visually pleasing and the game-play actually keeps drawing you in, especially considering its not a shooter looter (as any other company would have made this game if they made it) Where you would instead spend 90% of the time killing anyone you encounter, racking up a larger body-count then you actually deliver packages. Hell this game even puts a severe penalty on killing. Mostly I love it as Hideo Kojima refuses to jump on the copy/paste train like every other company. Playing Death Stranding actually feels like something completely different. Any other game I have figured out in a few minutes as it plays exactly like a ton of other titles in its genre, and the story ends up being so predictable and boring that I won't even recall the plot points later on, or even wonder who the final boss is and why my char has any beef with them.

You can't really compare MGSV's plot being stuck in audio logs with a podcast, a major part of a podcast is that it's something easy to listen to in the background instead of something that requires your attention like audio logs do. What would be more fitting for Death Stranding is how MGS4 handled it, where you could literally listen to in-game podcasts by equipping the iPod, it didn't have anything to do with the story or world, it was just a few dudes talking about parts of the game.
@Tamacat3885 жыл бұрын
MGSV had more story than any other MGS game. And very very very little of it was in tapes. Lore is not story. And this common criticism just shows how little gamers know about art and narrative.
