In Japan they actually call medium to large apartment/condo buildings/units mansions. A little confusing, i know. But it makes sense once you think about it. A large residence with lots of rooms where a lot of people live. What we refer to as a mansion has an actual japanese word: besso. So something probably got messed up in translation.

Well here’s the weird thing about that, this game was developed by a *CANADIAN* studio! So unless my knowledge of regional differences in shared language dialect isn’t as vast as I think it is, then that means they had the same definition of what a mansion is as us US and UK gamers.

There's an upgrade system in Witcher 3 by putting points into skills, some of which unlock different versions of spells and combat moves. If Luigi could increase suction power to drain enemy hp faster or if he has elemental powers like the first game and could increase their capacity then I could somewhat agree with you.

Also, Luigi's Mansion is like 15 hours tops, the Witcher 3 can go for about 90 hours. Let's not pretend repetitiveness wasn't a major issue on both games.
