Even the theory of gravity and effects of friction and atmosphere on objects was only a “theory” until the astronauts finally ran an experiment on the moon with a heavy object and a feather. The issue is that he finally agrees with the science and that it’s closed because it agrees with his worldview. Believe me, if tomorrow the scientific consensus changes that hormone treatment is bad, he’ll be yelling for more experiments and running around screaming about any single data point that goes against the consensus because it fits his worldview.

It's impossible to keep a log of every study ever made on a particular study to date, so by making your statement, you're promoting the legitimacy of fake news. If someone repeatedly says 'I'm not familiar with that study' and is clearly using it as a crutch, it's going to affect their reputation among reasonable people, and they will pay for it. Let them do it, but you can't rationally say that statement as whole is a blanket invalid argument.

That is a rather invalid point. It is not whether or not a clock or radio exists, but rather the fact that somebody is talking to a clock or radio. You see, it is the action, not the object in this particular example. Try to focus now. I am keeping religion completely out of it as I am atheist and those debates go on forever. Instead, we focus on the fact that an example of a mental illness was used regardless of the inanimate object that was spoken of. Anybody talking to any inanimate object for long periods of time, or having conversations with inanimate objects, may have a mental issue. The mental issue is the focus of the discussion. The clock, nor the radio, really matter in this debate. Somebody thinking they are a different gender or sex than they really are, is a sick individual that needs therapy of sorts. These are individuals that do not live in the real world but instead create a world around them, cognitively, that adheres to their sickness and it's many delusions. This happens with a lot of people. Not a problem at all, as we do have doctors and medicine used to treat these folks. It is when that delusion takes another step and then requires individuals that are not mentally ill to share in the same world as the sick individual. Does that make sense? Not a clock, a radio, or even a mythical Hebrew god are used as examples here. Just basic common sense logic.

I need to preface, im the husband to the beautiful woman in the picture... I was the kind of guy that floated between all the different groups in school. (Every school has one.) To the point that I've fought in defense of them and when it was over, I couldn't help but to cuss them out and just plain hate being around them. I get a real strong vibe of that exact type of person from this guy. He seems almost textbook. My questions are, do you see that as well, (assuming you know what kind of person I'm talking about.) Do you think that it's his problem and responsibility for being bullied given the type of person I described. (Assuming that he is that type of person.) General Bullying is absolutely the fault of the bully. But I'm talking about someone that is just so insufferable that they bring it on themselves. I always try to think about why the person is the way they are. They might be going through something in their life and perhaps don't have anyone to talk to. Family problems, health problems, just anything that effects their psyche or body in a negative way. Just bullying them and cussing them out is not the solution here. I've met terrible people in my life, but bullying them was never an option for me. I tried talking to them normally or avoided them completely. It's not that easy, obviously, we're all humans with emotions but communication sometimes is the key.

I think Crowder doesn't look up the facts either. I checked the first scientific article he used to claim that using hormones will make your brain smaller and is a bad thing. This is just a lie. The article indeed says that the brain gets smaller when you transition from male to female (because the female brain is smaller and the brain will become more female-like). The conclusion of this experiment was not that hormone injections are harmfull, just that hormones can change the brain structure in later life (i.e. female hormones will make the brain like that of a woman and male hormones will change the brain into that of a male). Crowder just sees 1 line in an article that he thinks is harmfull and claims that this article says that hormone treatment is bad, when this is not the case at all.

My son has Down Syndrome and other medical concerns. When we lived in Lubbock we had a difficult time finding a pediatrician who felt comfortable treating him. I was never concerned they didn’t support him. I knew they didn’t know about his case. And that being so, I didn’t want them to treat him and was thankful for their honesty. The doctor who did treat him did a great job. If a doctor isn’t comfortable treating a patient, we should respect that. In my experience when a doctor guesses things don’t go well. And when you only want the answers you want, you’re not likely to like your doctor anyway.
