Find wood, pitch too wood, bounce a couple times, and hope for fish. Find wood, pitch too wood, bounce a couple times catch fish. Bass seem to like wood. You should think about getting a rod carrier for your rods. I think they call them Rod Runners, carrying all those rods would make me crazy. Banging rods together tends to scratch reels and bend guides. I know if I fished from shore as often as you do, I would have one; they look like they make carrying extra rods easy and safe. Besides they have how-too KZbin videos that are worth watching. Trust me they are quite informative. I would also suggest getting or carrying a pair of wading shoes. They make all kinds, and save your good sneakers form an early death. They also keep your car floor clean. I like ones with spikes for slippery rocks. They have drains in the sides and made from materials suited for quick drying and do not shrink or rot. All they need is washing off with water and let to air dry. Some look just like regular shoes. Ones for use with wading pants require one size larger to add extra room for the neoprene socks. Some of fish you caught I saw the line jump from the hit when you detected the strike. That is pretty cool film work I would say.

If you want to make pitching easier, use a reel with centrifugal brakes. Turn up the brakes to max and back them down slowly until the line doesn’t overrun. As you get better, turn the brakes down. Start out using a lure weight of 3/8 ounce and go lighter as you get better. Use your thumb more and brakes less as you improve pitch casting. Magnetic brake reels do not pitch as well as friction brake reels. Hope this helps you.

How many of them SLX rods u got? Thinkn about buying one for chatterbaits. The MH feels ok but is a bit heavier then wut I'm used to but for a buck I can't expect it to feel like a 300 rod. I haven't been able to fondle a med. cuz there all sold out. I'm thinking the MH fast is the way to go. Just curious of your opinion. Thanks for the vids bud.

I like it. It does feel solid probably heavier than rods twice the price. Held up good but I've only used my 7'2" heavy for froggin. Hard to tell about sensitivity and that. But for chatterbaits I'd think it would do the job well.
@rustyshacklfur47055 жыл бұрын
Yea it def feels a little heavier but not like a fury or other rods at 100. It has to be one of the better rods for it's price. I was gonna get a zodias but I want to get a levante for this fall and winter and the 80 dollar would pay for almost half of that. Thanks Debo

What lure covers you use? The ones I have stink from Basspro they are mesh and the hooks push thru.

I personally won't throw a treble hook lure if I forget my pliers because hooks in fingers don't feel good
@timperry60955 жыл бұрын
Brian Robinson I’ve been switching all my trebles to single in-line eye hooks by Owner, and pinching the barbs. I came from a fly fishing background, so the barbless is an old habit to me. Plus I fish alone, and have seen way too many treble hook mishaps which are tough to deal with if your with a buddy and impossible to get out if you’re alone. I might miss a few fish, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for easier removal of hooks from me and the fish.
@brianrobinson99795 жыл бұрын
@@timperry6095 well I have a pair of pliers in my backpack and a pair with my kayak stuff so I don't really worry about it as much now. But heaven forbid they're eating cranks or open water topwater baits and I've left my pliers behind

Jigging with live bait from a tree huh? Maybe a baby bluegill would have worked hahahahaha.... Nice the marauder lasts a long time. Makes me feel less ripped off buying stuff just that just goes by by every time you catch a fish. True fisherman fish from the bank lol!!! Its like fishin from the ghetto versus the high society lifestyle of a boat ( I don't have a boat of course ). Total jealousy I guess
