I’ve been made fun of my whole life for being left handed. It wasn’t until I went on a fishing trip with my family that I learned I have an advantage. I reel with my right hand and cast with my left. I was naturally given this advantage! For once in my life being left handed has been a blessing.
@ghostbox2

I am right handed but I cast with my right and reel with my left as growing up i only used spinning..and when i picked up the baitcaster reeling with my right its as awkward as writing with my left hand...kinda weird but cross dominant I have heard it called but my left which is non dominant is stronger than my right...

B-Lat your shit is the most helpful. You explain it perfectly in normal language. I watched your Texas Rig video last week and as I was hitting my spots I said and did "do do" as it started sinking. You said it sounds silly, but that shit works. Your "silly" little thing caught me a bunch of smallies in just 2 hours the first time I ever threw a Texas Rig. Appreciate what you do man.

After16 years tournament fishing the first few years honestly I sucked at it but stay with it One thing I didn’t hear is large mouth only need one eye in the shade and they think there hidden I was fishing the James River in VA and we ran across a submerged fruit container all wood of course so we pitch into it, so after 4-5 pitches my partner decides to give up but I felt this is ideal, of course I was using a different soft plastic, so 4 more pitches I pull out a 4 pounder, sometimes you just have to piss them off to get them to bit especially when then water is in the 90’s and water stained Very nice job explaining it I spent many winters in my living room pitching to cups lol

Good tip on bite detection...I struggle with this because if I don't feel a thump or my line doesn't just take off, idk when I'm gettin bit. I fish some killer areas that are completely off limits to most of the population and I know I've missed some killer catches because of this

Ohh this makes me want to go fish. It was the plan today, but my back planned a sneak attack. I’ve been river fishing smallies for years and I have that down but I’ve ignored a good large mouth lake that’s close to me until the last year or so. It’s fun because it’s different techniques than I use on the river. A lot of frog fishing and grass.

Excellent video. I like your No Nonsense approach when sharing your information. You are absolutely correct too many people get tied up in the correct pronunciation for the style of fish and that they are using. I like what you said just put the bait where it needs to be. I do however have one question. Can you pitch a wacky rig and how would you keep from getting it hung up if you do. I know it's probably going to be almost impossible to keep from getting hung up all the time.

I'm pretty positive that you know this trick and that a lot of people out there do, but with that z man plastic material I have found that when I use an ewg style hook that doesn't have a gatekeeper on it like your traditional straight shank flipping hooks do, I always keep toothpicks in my boat and once I get the bait set up on the hook I run a toothpick through the eye of the hook and break it off on each side and it works as an awesome gatekeeper as far as not letting the bait slide down the hook and I use that a lot more than I ever have using the z-man products, and I've carried it over into other soft plastic products and to me regardless of the longevity that you're supposed to get out of each bait I feel like as long as they don't rip it in half on the first fish that you set the hook to, most of the time I can get a lot more cast and a lot more bites off of that soft plastic by using that toothpick method. Even sometimes when I'm flipping with a traditional straight shank that has a bait keeper on it, I might still use a toothpick just to make sure that the beekeeper doesn't rip the bait on the back side as bad.
