Two points to make... A.) Abu has a great selection of lefty reels, so that’s a win for sure! 2.) I go to a lake that has a fishermen’s warehouse in the same town. Sure there is something about the rod or reel that isn’t perfect or it’s an old model but it works just fine. Oh yea it’s also across the street from Pure Fishing factory so there is a constant supply of quality items...

The curse of the Go-Pro strikes, Randizzle the giant slayer dropped to second fiddle. It was almost a double Dink festival until the three pounder elected to get photo shopped. T-1 Original Titanium Spinnerbaits cost more but don’t bend out of shape easily. Light wire ones work ok but have a much shorter useful life. The titanium wire is much tougher and returns to shape. If you find any, get a couple and see for yourself.

Heads up 7-up was all about shoe looking. Weird texas rig story - Yesterday I was in the pads flipping for the tough ones, and a damn 30" pike came and grabbed my pit boss! Did not expect that! One of the biggest pike I've ever caught too!

Getting ready to do the same thing tomorrow. We've had a couple of days and I think tomorrow I will nail some grass dwellers and give my braided line experience a different lake and different techniques to apply. Texas rigged is my choice along with some Chatterbait & Ticklerz in the mid day. Gotta boat some nice ones tomorrow. Enjoyed this one for sure. Keep em coming. Check back in tomorrow with results

Well I went and basically lost my new favorite Chatterbait & ordered 3 more with different skirts. Got the trailer down pat!! They were on that bite till 10am then they went to hitting worms, texas rigged and loaded with a 3mm glass rattle. Once that bite got to where it wouldn't produce bites I went to throwing a junebug TRD finesse worm on ZMan finesse Bulletz heads. Broke off twice, but it was the monofilament. Braided knot was tough as nails, holds up to the abrasive treatment around grass. Caught 2 good ones but it was tough getting bites. Definitely going into the fall transition here in the Ozarks.
