In the 80's and early 90's Chevrolet used Harrison R4 compressors for their trucks, and cars too. They are the shortest compressor that comes to mind...my 89 C1500 runs one..still. lol. So they're dependable too

Your ficm needs to be grounded i had the same problem where it wouldn't start and I relocated it where it was leaning on the trans cooler line and when ever I went over a bump my truck would die. After I hooked a grond wire to the housing and put it to the engine it fired right up and had no problems

To be honest, nothing so far has been a fight. Everything is coming together really nice, this just the process of fabricating. One little fuel leak that was a fitting and the oil leak was the crankcase breather cause it wasn't hooked up

@@DEBOSSGARAGE perhaps fight was the wrong word, I understand the tedious side of fabricating one off parts like this project has, and taking the concept in your head and fitting and trimming everything 20 times to get it just so, lots of small annoyances till you get it all to play nice together, and the vision becomes reality. Of all the things that you hold dear to your heart, the gto being a first high school love an all, I think this took the breath away the most. Your adrenaline was so high that it was a red bull pick me backup before I fall on my nose thing.. true, the two wires being crossed did kinda blow but actually a very common thing to happen so no virgin there. What a lot of us have waited for is happening... I think back when you were laughing at a old cab being resurrected like boris karloff in Frankenstein lost love or Abbot an Costello meet the wolf man suspense. I give this video a eleven out of a possible ten. Thats as good as they get... now trim some crap out of the corners on the cabin so you don't burn your feet an hook up the "Jensen stereos" behind the cab... a set of maybe five inch chrome stacks... too big is just that an I would be happy with fours as they sound crisper I think. Bigger gets that hollow sound coming out of the tops. I could bloviate a whole books worth but just for you Richard!!!
