Like Birdman said in the video, sociology (the study social life, change, and causes & consequences of human behavior) isn't really science, because it's about the immaterial aspects; thoughts, feelings, expectations, etc. Whereas science is about observable, provable, material matters. To say being trans is equally as ridiculous as flat earth conspiracy is just plain wrong. One is a provable falsehood, the other is just a facet of socialization/social consideration.

The guy you responded to highlights a huge problem in the world: people don't know what science even is! He thinks science is a set of facts you either subscribe to or don't, when science is actually a process of testing conclusions. When people say "I don't believe in science" they are saying "I don't care about consistency, applicability, or proof." Sociology is a real science, but it's a relatively recent science, and a lot of sociologists are not nearly scientific enough to be representing the field. I also completely understand how the idiots would make the field as a whole seem less scientific to you, and to a degree, those people do make the field less scientific for being part of it. Just thought I'd say something about it, while I largely agree with the rest of your statements throughout the video. I appreciate you for holding your ground against disinformation, especially of the variety that can lead to genuine harm. I do my best to do the very same all the time.

Birdman I gotta say. Keep making content like this. I am just like you. I am an excellent communicator and am really good at explaining things in ways that are easy to understand. It's always important to speak up on these specific topics. I've been able to turn conspiracy theorists and they all say it's because I say things in a manner that is easy to understand. They also tell me because I was unapologetic in telling them their ideas and or beliefs were at face stupid. You make a difference that truly changes people's minds, lives and common sense. You are needed.

Th3Birdman is simply an entertainment channel where he is, and I (kinda) quote "poking fun at Cinema Sins' videos". 33 minutes in and suddenly, one thought crossed my mind: "Why is he replying to this dude who's literally comparing himself to the h0l0c@u$t victims?" Granted, we can't always be all laugh and jokes; we need to be, at the very least, somewhat educated about the sociopolitical context of X or Y country. But this is just way too much idiocy for me and I'm from Mexico; we sure have our share of... let's call them "poorly educated people". Where does he get the strength to receive, investigate, record, edit and publish replies to these kind of people? That I don't know. And I sure respect you, Mr. Birdman for taking the time, effort and patience to deal with these people.
