At the end of this meditation session my mind was still and quiet. Which is where I wanted it to be! It certainly did not start that way when I began this mornings meditations! I have to thank DTM for providing over and over again these wonderful meditations! You are providing a great service! ADB,MD

This meditation is helpful as I write these comments. I am feeling more comfortable. I lose focus and my mind starts to wander. It takes a little patience and waiting before my mind returns bank to watching the sensations of breathing and noticing the thought and discomfort has dissappeared, faded away. I am still in the moment without any discomfort without using the outbreath. I can stay still by turning my mind to the physical sensations without my mind wandering. Letting my mind go where it wants, did not wander anywhere.....Thanks DTM. ADB,MD

Instead of adding drama to the thoughr or denying the thought just let it dissolve...Brilliant! It's like Alka-Seltzer for the mind ;)

Well how do we react best to the emotions and thoughts that cause us mental suffering? We become the observer of how we feel and stay with it! Because all these emotions and feelings are just like waves: they rise, they peak, and then they fall and fade away and disappear and wonder of wonder you no longer suffer and have a new feeling of neutrality and relief. Be thankful to DTM. I learned it from them! ADB,MD

Great Meditation! At the very end of the meditation I heard the chattering of my teeth (and they are all MY teeth). There was a progression of the meditation that I became aware of during the meditation from one of feeling worried, to think of relaxing during both the inbreath and outbreath and letting go of the worried feeling, to one of letting go of everything, and finding at the end that I felt relaxed naturally without any effort! Once again, another triumph! For me and you! ADB,MD

Try to let go of the thought before you allow feelings of worry and anxiety to arrive from it! We can train the mind to do this with the help of these meditations. It would help us tremendously! Thank you DTM for noting this in this meditation. ADB,MD

Thank you. This was amazing. I had two weeks of total inner chaos and this notification showed up now and I'm now relaxed. I will meditate on this a few times a day until I get used to calming my mind. 😙

I turned to this meditation again because of anticipating(looking ahead to the events of this day) and worrying about what might happen and feeling the tenseness in some places of my body! As I have learned, nobody can precisely predict the future (fortune-teller error) and living with uncertainties is just part of life. So what can I (and you) do about it? We can plan for the day ahead (or just go back to sleep). I myself need more time to think about it. Let's just put it away for awhile! I won't be solving this problem (CHALLENGE) for you or wishing you to "Have a Great Day !"Maybe, it won't be so great!ADB,MD

This meditation was wondrously useful to me as it changed the feeling of worry to one of lightening up. I won't bore you with the details. I can only hope you have this interesting reaction as well. Don't forget, it happens with DTM.

I chose this meditation because I was worried that my problems with sound sleep would occur again tonight. The physical problem of pain due to tense muscles has to do with the difficulty of feeling RELAXED due to the many stresses of living the life I experience day to day. The only original thought I had during the meditation was the creation of a feeling of anxiousness when I thought I was being CHALLENGED. I don't know what to make of it all, and if someone can clarify this episode simply, I would greatly appreciate it!

Way to use meditation to help you work through tough times. It sounds like you had a great insight of self awareness! When this happens to me I find it helps to think about what I am unconsciously avoiding or pushing down and then trying to feel that discomfort and let it out verbally or on paper...bring it to my conscious mind in a controlled way. Stick with it!

Today, this meditation allowed me to gain further understanding of what it means to feel like when I become worried. I believe that the tenseness my body was feeling was the response I felt to the worried thought I had that an outcome coming up in the near future was going to be a negative one from what I was hoping to happen. I think that it may be very likely that worrying thoughts if allowed to continue to the stress of continued uncertainty, mostly about what might happen in the future, will go on to feeling anxiety, if you allow yourself to be exposed and Vulnerable to the stressor. If you have a central nervous system that is vulnerable, there should be no shame or guilt if you remove yourself from that particular stressor. Try it for yourself! ADB, MD

I should add to the previous comment that many of these meditations with repetition will allow us to become more resistant to worry, fear, and anxiety so that we can let go of these discomforts and not hold on and let our thinking expand into a story in our minds but turn your mind to be just an impartial observer. That is the key to allow the magic of the mind give you the relief that all of us deserve.

The root cause of anxiety seems to be a worrier. A worrier anticipates something is going to go wrong in the future. The stories we tell ourselves about the future are just that: stories! The fact is we do not really know what will happen in the future! Mindful meditations can teach our brains to become aware that we are wandering into the future with our brains and once aware of wandering thoughts, we can bring our minds back to the present. In the present moment, our thoughts and feelings become what we want to make of them, we have more control of them. We control our fears and our imaginary fears do not control us! Hope this is helpful.

The various feelings, sensations, and thoughts never left me for the entire meditation which lasted just under 15 minutes. I was not able to "play" and let go of all the variety I was experiencing during the meditation and finished the meditation without any hint of relief. Not a comforting experience! ADB,MD
