So a fun little lore detail you may have missed. Some of the Cadian troops seem to have been under the effects of chaos while others seem to resist it after the rift opens. What decides is wether the soldier in question was actually born on Cadia or not. Those who born on Cadia, which is next to a warp rift have a much higher natural tolerance against the warp, so they can keep themselves sane even in the presence of a warp rift, while those who are born elswhere succumbed to the effect of the rift going mad. In fact the game have such attention to detail that those troops who are actually from Cadia have the signature purple eyes of cadians, while the other guardsmen do not.

Not exactlz. Chapter master ate the Highest Position and Authority of a Space Marine Chapter ... which is a semi-autonomous militarz force of max 1000 Space Marines in general (majority of chapters are codex compliant so they are max 1000, but there are some that are not compliant and things are complicated cough black templars cough) there are hundreds, at this point over thousands, of these chapters each with its own Chapter Master Generaly a Chapter master has ultimate authority over the chapter ... he decides where and how many will be deployed and such And outside of the highest authorities, most people, including the inquisition can not issue orders to Chapter Masters, they can ask for assistance - again as with everything exceptions exist The position of Chapter Master has nothing to do with being a stand in for a Primarch. As said there are hundreds of chapters and chapter masters out there ad only 9 loyalist Primarchs, 2 of which are dead dead, 2 are curentlz active and 5 are still MIA Only Calgar and now Azrael authority has been slightly lessen a bit by their Primarchs return

So yeah, if a Chaplain calls you out? you best watch your shit!
@cyanide7270Ай бұрын
Also, if Old Mate hadnt explained it already with Dreadnoughts, if a Brother falls in battle and is decorated enough, if theyre still somewhat alive theyll be entombed into an armored Sarcophagus, and then placed into a Dreadnought, only to be woken and deployed when need arises for battle. Once the battle is over, theyre put back to sleep and in storage while being repaired and maintained. Them being put to sleep is the important part. Because where it then comes to the Chaos Dreadnoughts? yeah they dont do that. They are constantly awake, and their minds are forever tormented and warped by the immaterial, driven entirely insane. Meanwhile, whatever fleshy bits they still had also begins to morph and mutate and intertwine with the mechanics of the dreadnought giving its half flesh half machine appearance and, consequently, means that the entombed marine feels EVERYTHING that is being thrown at it. yeah, being a part of Chaos, SUCKS.

That actually was a titan btw. An emperor class to exact, the biggest of the god engines. Imperium ships are generally much MUCH bigger, ranging from 2-8 km length. The phalanx, the ship that serves as the fortress monastery of the imperial fist chapter is the size of a small MOON. In 40k moat ships are big enough that its crew surfs most often are born, live, and die serving the same ship. I should probably mention btw the phalanx is older than the imperium itself, as it was constructed during the dark age of technology, and in case you dont know, in 40k anything from that age is much more powerful and technologically advanced. In 40k older= better. For example the 300ton baneblade super heavy tanks wete first conceive and constructed during the dark age of technology...as SCOUT VEHICLES.
