Seats look lovely, like exterior too but door handles look flimsy, don't lack of driver instruments and lack of physical buttons. One advantage recent Renault BEV is return to some physical buttons and driver focused screens rather than one do it all screen. Koreans also do this. Wish Chinese would too. N9 V2L in boot a big issue for me. Seems some cost cutting. L7 sedan looks good

They are already driving RHD Deepal S07 in Nepal and Pakistan. Bit of confusion with different reviews giving different info. I have seen some say FWD, others RWD. ditto LFP and NMC batteries. I guess we will find out in a month or so. Interestingly one said the 68kWh battery version (available in China) came with a 190kW motor while the 80kWh battery version had only 160kW. Mysterious.

I am a Deepal L07 user in Thailand. It's a good car, yes. But if it arrived in Thailand earlier, I would have added $7K AUD more for the Xpeng G6. Xpeng, Avatr, Nio, and Aion HT are brands meant to compete with Mercedes and BMW. Forget Lexus.

Cars coming out today were conceptualised and designed many years ago, and at that time perhaps the concept of elegance and simplicity was the flavour of the day. Unfortunately the pallete has changed upon the launch of these cars. Except for Chinese EVs which are designed the week before launch. 😂

Can someone explain the maths? They say it has a range of 475km. However, it has a 80kwhr battery (more or less) and an efficiency of 18.6kw/100km = 430km, not 475km. Allowing for only being able to use 90% of the battery = 387 km. Every bev specs does the same.

92 kw DC fast charging is just not good enough nowadays. It's pretty bad that they didn't even say the charging speed in the presentation, just the 30 - 80% time (trying to hide something?). The competitors like Tesla, Xpeng and zeekr all do more than 200 kw

They're not competing with those brands. not in China not here. They under cut those brands significantly in China. Atto3 does 80kW DC and it sells well. @gregwatling4041Ай бұрын
@@LudicrousFeed yes I would only consider these cars with low charging speeds as a second car never a road trip car
@tren133Ай бұрын
@@gregwatling4041 Most Deepals sold in China are the EREV variants, which have a smaller battery, but also will have a small engine up front which only acts as a generator. They still offer good electric only range (mid trim is like 200 km of electric only range I believe), so you essentially have a full BEV for your daily driving if you can charge at home. Then for road trips you would just gas up so the lack of fast DC charging becomes a moot point. Why Changan isn't selling that version in Australia I have no idea.

@@LudicrousFeed Is Changan really only going to export the BEV version to Australia? The vast majority of Deepal sales in China are the EREV variant. Really in most ways the S07 is not particularly competitive against the Model Y or say the Xpeng G6 or BYD Sea Lion 7. The main selling feature of Deepal is its lower price and the fact that unlike the Y or G6, you can get it in EREV variant. Also I think the newest update also adds Huawei autonomous driving system, which is market leading in China. Odd decision to not offer either the EREV or the Huawei ADS.
