Great video. Didn't have fob when i got my L322. Removed the receiver unit in boot and fitted a GSM receiver and delay timer - was far cheaper than a replacement fob. Can now text the vehicle to turn on FBH rather needing to be within a certain distance of the car, provided 4G signal is ok 😂

I haven't got the heater feature as I have the 2008 4.2 SC. I think its only on diesels. The fob I hear is worth it's weight in gold as very rare. Another great video mate and have a great defrosted winter.

We had Range Rover Sport 2017 petrol SC with the exact same fob, but the fob would turn on the engine and heat up the car, and defrost it quickly.❄️ So, you may be able to do the same, but I'm not too sure, you might have to search it 🤔 Thank you so much for your kind words and for your continued support, we really appreciate having you here! 🤗

@@lifeasusual first of all we are lucky coz what you share is more important than a lot of content online. this is very resourceful and thanks. I have question though, I tried looking for a 2006 L322 pre heater remote controller online but not easy to find one - any recommendations?
@lifeasusual Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your heartwarming comment, it really pleases me and makes me so happy that you are finding our content valuable, which is what we try our best to achieve. 😊 With regards to the heater remote controller, have a look at some of the other comments under this video, and you can see that some of our viewers have recommended installing a different device where you don't need the fob. You can control the heater through your phone or through text messages 👍🏻 And from what they mentioned, it doesn't sound like it's an expensive solution. I hope this was helpful to you, and if you're still struggling, please let me know!

@@lifeasusual thanks mate - trying the Altox box - I will be updating my progress

My bmw i3 does this it can be turned on by the key, timer or mobile app. So good for icy mornings. I also have an 07 l320 I’m not sure if it has this would be good if it did! but it has a button (eprog I think) which clears the windscreen an rear screen in about 2 mins. Not as good as getting ready and entering a nice warm defrosted car ready to go but still very fast.

Hi, welcome to our channel! 😊 Yeah, I know what you mean! But have a look at the other comments, some of our viewers mentioned different systems that can be used through the phone and via text message rather than this fob. With the newer Range Rovers, you can control the heating just like your BMW i3, as well as the fob, so you may be able to upgrade the system. But to be honest, personally, I haven't had the experience of upgrading the system but I may look into it 👍🏻

I’ve had an Altox box fitted which fires up the FBH via an app on my phone. So cool 😎

That's really cool, Rob! Another person mentioned a similar system so I'm definitely going to have a look at these options! 🤩 Thanks for sharing the knowledge! 👍🏻

Ha ha nice parody, you forgot hair gel as an effective de icer. Liking the adoption of a Cuban breakfast too - monte cristo? I didn’t realise the wiper warmer coils at the bottom of the screen. That’s a cool feature. Silly question but do you know if the washer jets are heated too ? Was -16 here this morning. Proper chilly
@lifeasusual Жыл бұрын
Hi Alan, sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much for your positive feedback! 😊 How could we forget the hair gel?!😄 With regards to the washer jets, yes 100% they are. I forgot to say it, but some of them are, and if you look under the bonnet, you should find electrical cables connected to the jet washers. Wow, that's super cold, make sure you and the Rangie stay warm! ❄️😁🥶

@@lifeasusual nice one thanks for confirming. Will have a look later. it’s just come back from a gearbox flush and so far so good. Feels a lot sharper / responsive than before. All the best!
