Big feels when editing this, follow ur boi: twitter.com/DekonYT Lyrics: If I ever were to lose you I'd surely lose myself Everything I have found here I've not found by myself Try and sometimes you'll succeed To make this man of me All of my stolen missing parts I've no need for anymore I believe And I believe 'cause I can see Our future days Days of you and me Back when I was feeling broken I focused on a prayer You came deep as the ocean It's something something out there here All the complexities and games No one wins, but somehow, they still play All the missing crooked hearts They may die, but in us they live on I believe And I believe 'cause I can see Our future days Days of you and me When hurricanes and cyclones rage When wind turned dirt to dust When floods they came or tides they raised ever Closer became us All the promises at sundown I meant them like the rest All the demons used to come around I'm grateful now they've left So persistent in my ways, Here a angel, lying here to stay No resistance, no alarms, please this is just too good to be gone I believe And I believe 'cause I can see Our future days Days of you and me You and me It's you and me

I think the promises at sundown could also be in reference to the sunset moment in the first game outside Jackson when Joel for the first time shows explicit affection tomorrow and promises to take care of her.
@SidPhoenix22114 жыл бұрын
@@harrytucker6720 I took this to be a reference to: 1. The fact that Joel played Future Days for Ellie, and taught her how to play this song and the guitar in general 2. Their last conversation. It happened at sundown (or night, at least), and in it Ellie told Joel that she would be willing to try and forgive Joel. She essentially made him that promise, and she means it.

Can you explain the meaning of this quote? Especually the "I meant them like the rest" one
@braydenfuller35114 жыл бұрын
@@timsonss the rest I believe just refers to other promises or actions. Since it specifies "all the promises at sundown" the rest could be other promises or promises fulfilled already? Those specific promises could have more significant meaning, hence why they clarified that they meant them

MatiZ815 please. We’re living a pandemic and people are trying to find a vaccine for how long? 6 months now? And we have EVERYTHING that’s necessary for finding it. In TLOU they didn’t. And how could they make a vaccine for the whole planet in those conditions? It’s obvious that it wasn’t 100% sure that the vaccine would have worked. Because it takes more than trying once to find it. And it would’ve taken more than one immune person. Not to talk about the fact that the doctor didn’t think twice about killing Ellie, but do you think he would’ve done the same if it were about his daughter? No. He would’ve hid her immunity. Just like Joel and Ellie did.

Agreed. This is the only piece of media that actually made feel so much emotion that it was almost overwhelming. Even as a massive Marvel and MCU fan, even Infinity War and Endgame didn't have this effect on me. That definitely says a lot, because although nobody seeing this knows me personally, I am a massive Marvel/MCU fan so me being more emotional about this franchise? Trust me, it says *_a LOT._*

@@ElPenguino okay, I got Infinity War and Endgame spoiled, so I didnt really have any emotions there

@@timsonss That sucks. People who spoil stuff are the worst. I mean, they also weren't the saddest stories or anything, but I just had a really large connection to them. But regardless, trust what I said. This story is the most impactful and emotional media for me, and there are only two games. That's incredible.

I believe that this game has changed the way I think as a human being forever, I can't describe how thankful I am for finding this game and playing it multiple times throughout the years. Thank you, Troy Baker (Jole). Thank you, Ashley Johnson (Ellie). *and* Thank you Neil Druckmann for making this incredible story, even though you broke my heart permanently.

This is a full circle for me. I fell in love with that song because of the game. I couldn't stop thinking about the game and the song for so long. Eventually, I bought a guitar and started learning to play it only for that song. After I succeeded I finally could continue and leave the game behind. Now, this appeared in my recommendation and it makes me so emotional.

@@bifff2252 I absolutly loved the game , for me it's a total masterpiece one of the best games i've ever played and god knows that I played a lot but I must agree that the beginning of Abby's part is not good at all for me the only good parts of Abby's side of the story are the hospital especially with the Rat King boss fight and of course when we go and escape from the Seraphite's Island

LYRICS : If I ever were to lose you I'd surely lose myself Everything I have found here I've not found by myself Try and sometimes you'll succeed To make this man of me All of my stolen missing parts I've no need for anymore I believe And I believe 'cause I can see Our future days Days of you and me Back when I was feeling broken I focused on a prayer You came deep as the ocean It's something something out there here All the complexities and games No one wins, but somehow, they still play All the missing crooked hearts They may die, but in us they live on I believe And I believe 'cause I can see Our future days Days of you and me When hurricanes and cyclones rage When wind turned dirt to dust When floods they came or tides they raised ever Closer became us All the promises at sundown I meant them like the rest All the demons used to come around I'm grateful now they've left So persistent in my ways, Here a angel, lying here to stay No resistance, no alarms, please this is just too good to be gone I believe And I believe 'cause I can see Our future days Days of you and me You and me It's you and me

I am literally crying over this masterpiece. R.I.P. Joel. I am gonna miss you a lot. This might be the only game that has ever made me feel like this. Feel warm and sad. But its another kind of sadness. The kind that makes you realise that every moment counts. Sad, happy, furious moments... Every moment counts and you should always live it to the edge. Don't waste your live. Live with your family. Family is the only thing that can make you feel pure love. And to tell the truth family is not your parents or your siblings. It's the people you really love and appreciate. The people that can make you feel loved and special among others in the universe. Thats what I wanted to say about this awesome life teaching video game. I will miss them all.
