@gordon7700
@gordon7700 4 жыл бұрын
@@kingworldadventures That's a common misconception. In Canadian hockey games, when a player gets injured but is able to walk, this shows hope that they can recover. You cheer for an injured player for support. I've even experienced this in my childhood hockey games. I've been cheered for getting up after an injury. It's to show respect, but the American fanbase interpreted it wrong. Canadians have cheered in support of injured players for years. I'm not sure if this is just a hockey thing though.

Like some of the other commenters have stated, it wasn't just the addition of Kawhi that got them over the hump. LeBron leaving was a huge help to get them to the finals and the Warriors injuries were a huge help to win them the finals. Had those 2 things occured a year or 2 prior then Demar would've lead them to a championship.

As a long term Raptors fan, of course I am thankful that we were able to get Kawhi and win a championship. That was a beautiful thing, and amazing to be able to have a minute part in that. That said, it hit me different when DeMar got traded. DaMar is a Raptor through and through, he wasn't the problem, but I know I speak on behalf of every Raptors fan when I say how much we appreciate him. Toronto would never have been in the position they were if it wasn't for DeMar. His play style and personality remains in Toronto, for sure. Hopefully, we get to see him back one day.
