Wow mate...that was a spectacular fix. I was watching the Man Of Steel who has a number of anchor points in the concrete floor. He has a Hustler bar but both of your technologies employ delicate hammering with a multitude of tips etc. The finger tip control of the back of the panel in conjunction with the light bars reflecting off the panel certainly makes both YOU & The Man Of Steel highly watchable. My mate thought he could wave his induction hot rod over the dozens of hail damaged dents on his cars bonnet and roof. Your system in the right hands leaves the Hot Rod Wand for dead. But in hindsight him being a GP Doctor he didn't have any more knowledge than holding the coil over the dent...I emplored him to allow me to make a leverage tool...I'm a Toolmaker....to be gently rocked to allow it to pop out. No...the patient and the patience evaporated at the same time. Where do you get your kit. Is it a panel beater shop supplier. Are there courses in SYDNEY. I should Google that myself. I'm multi skilled anyway. Did a panel beating journeyman course in 1980. Made a perfect VW hubcaps including the indented VW...also a hub cap removing gripper. Round with two hook claws on 2 short lengths. Some bastrad stole it from the TAFE display cabinet..I wanted to get it chromed..then framed. For my Dad. I'll go to a mate and get a dinged panel of some sort. Today's cars lend themselves to this type of repair. You have a masterful touch and eye. A great working tutorial. Buster

Why would anyone “Thumbs Down” this video??? As a 22 year PDR Tech myself, I can say he did everything perfectly! The only thing I would have done differently is keep the heat gun on it constantly until the point where he changed to a sharper tip. Nice work my friend!!!

I have been watching hundreds of different PDR videos on YT. So many using tools common on Amazon and Ebay where they keep commenting they are not expecting to perform a 100% repair but indicating they know their customer will still be happy. Then I find PDR videos like yours where tools I did not even know existed are incorporated and the details in the process is amazing. I bet your customers are convinced you must have replaced the whole panel as they look perfect. It is a treat to watch a master craftsman display his skills. @advanceddentrepairsouthern25693 жыл бұрын
Here in the states, a high quality repair like this, using the measurements and factors he wrote on the panel it would be between $625-650 US dollars. Even if it was the same or a little more the a conventional repair with body work and repaint it is a much better, cleaner, faster, greener repair.
@dentremover013 жыл бұрын
Thanks Colin, Paul and Mark at advanced Dent Repair for answering the question. Ok the price mentioned was a very decent price and certainly reflects the expertise of the repair. There’s a lot of thought that a pdr repair is half the price of a conventional repair as it’s quick etc, but if a professional carries out a repair to an exeptional standard meaning no flaws etc, then realistically a pdr repair is worth more than a filler and repaint repair. As the skill which goes into magic’in a dent out, keeping the vehicle totally original and maintaining any warranties is priceless really. That’s what I think anyway, my price was less and in £, but that’s my customers business. Thanks for watching and indeed commenting Martin

@@dentremover01 This video got flagged again because someone else replied. The reason I queried price was to see how it might compare to a typical bodyshop. Hi Goutam thanks, yes I’ve been doing this every day for quite a few years. I suppose it does look quite easy, it’s all about pressure so if you push slightly too hard then the paint would crack, again when tapping the panel down, if you do this too hard then you’ll put lots of dents back in. Hi Tim thanks for your question. Yes we will touch up the damaged paint area if requested We don’t have all the colours but if a customer was to supply a touch up we’d touch it in for free no problem. Fantastic job, and a flawless repair you’d never have known the wing panel has been dented so severely especially around the body crease area. 10/10

Ive been using PDR since it was invented in the 90s and it has come a long way. Your work is exemplary. The dents thar can be pulled today are stàggering. Back 20 years ago no one would touch a a swage line dent. Great video. Cheers from Australia

I have a fender dent very similiar in almost the exact same location - and this was fascinating to watch. Unfortunately I have neither the skill, expertise or equipment to DIY (although I have a heatgun, lol)...so it's off to the bodyshop I go. I only hope they're as skilled as you are. A true craftsman. Thanks for sharing the insight.
