Can’t wait for this series. This false teaching has infiltrated the Australian church at so many levels: their music, their language, their theology - and so many are blind to it (congregations, pastors and leaders included). We pray this can be part of a wake up call - and a return to the true gospel.

The majority of churches in SA ....... even many christians are influenced by the prospirity gospel....Hope we in SA will also be able to receive American gospel via youtube to be able to share.....to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

it is heart breaking to hear "Christians" misrepresent other Christians -- Bill Johnson and Kris V.... both teach living a life of dieing to self and living in Christ daily.... if you study his words in full context you would know that

Hello Jim and Justin, I've watched many of Justin's videos and they all seem to be strongly opposed to anything Pentecostal or continuationist. For those who don't know, the Pentecostal world population is like +600million vs 70+million of the Reformed church and it's growth is much larger also, my point is we are not dealing with some small splinter group that has strayed from the flock. I grew up in the CRC church in G.R. Mich and eventually found Christ in a Pentecostal setting, so I've got lots of family that are still in non Pentecostal churches, when we talk about our mutual Christianity we don't talk about our differences, we talk about the good stuff that we share in common. There is no reason that I could think of to demean their relationship with the SAME Jesus that loves me. If I were to intentionally and repeatedly chuck rocks at their Christian theology per 1Cor 13, if I would be a clanging gong! I would be hateful. This whole A.G. narrative is not love, Justin, it's a hit piece against the acts 2:38 experience. If you choose to say that's not for me and follow the reformed style of belief, then I would say to you "God bless you, isn't this gift of God and the Gospel awesome". But you, Justin, you don't do that, you attack and attack, many of your videos have little or no scripture in them, why do you do this, you are my brother in Christ and video after video I find you throwing rocks, just like John Macarther does. If you are bitter for what ever reason you need to let it go, repent, my brother.

You missed the whole point. What part of Justin’s critique of Bethel’s teaching is wrong or in error? This is all about which Jesus you follow- the one who promises and grants suffering in this life and glory later, or the one who promises prosperity now. One is true, and the other is false.

Much of what was discussed in the video I can agree with, while I nor most of Pentecostalism is not a fan of the “prosperity” message, however we’ve all got to be careful of semantics here. While God is not a “Genie” in a bottle, He certainly cares about us, loves us, Rom 8:31, He hears our prayers, does He answer all our prayers? No and I quickly run out of answers, I just know He loves me and I put my faith in Him. Heb 11:1, 13 Look at phrasing of the question that you responded to my question: It comes with nuance: condescension, there’s a meanness in it’s tone, it implies that if I don’t buy into your theology then there is an impassable gulf between us, that I am serving a false God? I really can't think of a more unloving thing one Christian could say to another. It’s a my way or the highway, it’s polarizing, it’s divisive. There’s just one Jesus, He is exactly who the bible says He is, I’m so sorry that as I extend my hand of fellowship to you that you seem to push it away. I Cor 13:1,4,13 you guys have this huge knowledge of God and I can only imagine that it’s impressive, but you just have to look at the question that you’ve asked me, is it kind -no, is it loving-no, it has attack, attack, attack in it, similar to so many of your other videos. So back to your video, What is our relationship with God? I would respond to that by retelling the story of the prodigal son, Luke 15:22, when the Father puts His robe on the undeserving son, that’s me, I’m the screwup, and that’s our Father’s robes of righteousness Is 61:10, Rom 8:1, 11 Cor 5:2, Gal 2:20 . That’s how the bible positions us before God. I am robed in the righteousness of Christ Jesus Luke 15:25 the older brother, he’s unhappy with this giftedness that his younger brother has found. Jim and Justin are you and your theology that older brother?

@@user-kt7qx1gp8o false. The quote isn’t out of context- and it aligns with their other man-exalting teaching, that believers are to view themselves as significant, royalty, etc. Twisting scripture does not equate to loving God and His word.

@@user-kt7qx1gp8o Did you not see them reading from Bill Johnson's book? It is essential to study and rightly divide the word of Truth and not read yourself into the scriptures. It's God's revelation of himself, his Son, and the Holy Spirit. If that is your starting point, you will always view the scriptures with the correct mindset.
