No he is using the slide method which is almost like heel-toe but a bit different, and a video i also saw of him is that he plays doubles with his toes, 2 right 2 left and when he builds up speed it sounds really fast, faster than the original right left right left pattern...

Hey, thanks for the reply. Ive been playing at about 200-210 for about 4/5months i think? Maybe a bit longer? the pain goes after the 4 days pretty much. I normally play for about 2-2n half hours with breaks. I think i overdone it abit in that session, i normally get the pain but no where near as bad as it was when i commented 5 days ago.

First off, let me tell you people something... triggers don't make you drum faster for thoughs that think they do. They simply give a constant distinct sound which is necessary for live shows, to be heard.. thats it. You still have to hit the head of the drum the same way without using triggers.

Ye exactly... and he uses a slide method. It basically a up and down motion with his feet, he gives the first hit with his toe and the second with his heel... It works best with doubles, so he completes a slide on each foot, doing rapidly so he increases his speed. He explains all of it on 1 of his vids :P

Tnx for all the positive comment fellow Metal heads :D and yeah sure metal is fast, but any1 in their right mind, and any1 that knows how 2 play drums will know that what he did is not easy! I also used 2 say that jazz suck and reggae suck, until i started playing that style and discovered for myself how hard it really was 2 adapt to another style, and now i play all the styles i can, because i have respect for music and for every1 who plays an instrument. May METAL live forever... :D

Hey man, I thought I was the only guy that knew about practicing on a pillow. That is actually a very good exercise that will increase your stamina, power, and speed. I warm up playing on a pillow for a few minutes before I play and it helps a lot dude. Oh, another thing, when you practice on a pillow, use bigger, heavier sticks then what you actually play with. If you can swing heavy sticks fast on a pillow, you can swing light sticks lightening fast on you drum set. Later

he's probably doing a double step technique, which is when you slide your foot up and down (more like back and forth) to achieve double hits on the bass drum, which would make his legs look like they're moving slower than he's hitting the pedal.
