Hey Dr. Dray, I really enjoyed this type of video from you! I'm a stage 3 metastatic melanoma survivor. I've also had basal cell carcinoma on the lower left quadrant of my face when I was 19. I just finished treatment last week! I'm 26 yrs old and i'm currently going to school while working two jobs. I start nursing school in August. I just wanted to pop on here and tell you that I wished more young adults watched your videos!! I'm a cosmetologist and studying medicine, so I was able to catch my skin cancer and be proactive. I love the study of the skin, but it's just so important to wear SUNSCREEN!.... anyways, I like your style. I also loved your video regarding clean beauty products. I think that, as humans we are all SO different, to categorize an ingredient as petroleum as "harmful" and lavender oil as "healthy" is very biased. Especially in a world were natural is more like a fad. Keep up the good content! Molly

@maryastark80755 жыл бұрын
@Wolfgang Arr I am not certain that it photo degrades overnight. Please check with your dermatologist, if you have one or call the 800# provided on the box or tube. I am a malpractice attorney and have heard many contradictory theories. In fact I have never seen any comments regarding the effect of adapoline and or tretinoin on the finger tips. This was brought to light along with it's use by those who wear contact lenses. This particular case was settled in binding arbitration. This is a very bad thing for consumers. If settled in this manner it is unlikely that a report will be made public. The data that is made available regarding OTC and Rx products is seriously lacking due to the many loopholes that the pharmaceutical community has at their disposal. This is currently being challenged, but I don't see it going anywhere. Side with caution, always thoroughly wash your hands after application and for safety sake wash it off in the morning. Just for the record a woman in her 30's developed what turned into deep blisters similar to 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the finger tips she used for the application of tretinoin. She received an out of court settlement from the provider. In another situation tretinoin was blamed for a contact lense wearers' corneal abrasion. Also settled out of court. These events are rarely publicized. I did ask Dr.Dray about the contact lenses, but I most likely didn't see her response due to my time constraints.

My dad has always had somewhat of a "military" sleep schedule, going to bed at 9/10PM and waking up at 5/6AM. My mom is so different. With the house to run on top of her full-time job, she used to get fairly little sleep, going to bed at 3/4AM, and having to wake up at 6AM. There were times she barely saw the sheets. Now she is retired but old habits die hard. She still goes to bed 3/4AM, but at least she now sleeps until about 10AM. I loved seeing your morning routine. :)

Dr.Dray if gadgets don’t bother you... you should totally look into a water flosser! It’s been life changing and has upped my flossing game which to be honest I was never really consistent with because of how much of a hassle it was for me to use handheld floss. But the waterpik flosser gets everything out from between my teeth and makes them feel like I just came from the dentist! I half brush my teeth, then stop to floss and then go back in with my toothbrush to finish up my teeth & tongue. Promise I’m not a spokesperson just a big fan of the product haha! 😄

I also feel naked without my earrings. If I am rushed and forget them, I will stop at SALLY'S or Walmart for a cheap set.

When should I put sunscreen on if I use dapsone and cerva ve moisturizer every morning. Can all these products be used together? I also wear makeup everyday and feel like it’s a lot of products on my face. I also thought my foundation was a replacement for sunscreen now I know it’s not 😬

Off topic, but would you review Thrive Causemetics? Just the skin care items. They have a few and they recently released a face cleanser. I love what the company stands for (I’m a loyal customer with buying their mascara) and I’m always intrigued by their other products 🤔

This is probably not the right video to ask this on, but what are your thoughts on topical vitamin e oil for nail health? Is it helpful, or just a waste?

I find my sunscreen makes my mascara smear where my lashes brush my skin below my eyebrows. Do you have this problem, and if so, how do you avoid it? I have very dry eyes, so I avoid eyeshadow and powder around my eyes on a typical day.

Hi de. Dray. If I'm using an arbutin treatment, and a LRP shaka fluid Sunscreen during the day, is that sufficient? Or do you still recommend a physical Sunscreen instead?

Do you like the schedule? I have a chance to change my schedule and be at work at 5 a.m. or 9 a.m. I hate getting out later than 5p.m.. Right now I get out at 3:30 p.m.

Karina Alvarez as hard as the shift is I would never change it. I’m off at 1:30pm just in time to pick up my kids from school (no after school child care $!) and you have the rest of the afternoon for whatever, no rush for dinner and bed however you need to be sleeping by 8pm so that could be an adjustment for everyone in the beginning.
