Destiny seem to believe in people being able to change in their own pace, and he's just being the bridge to have discussions. Change can't happen when people aren't exposed to other people who can turn their mental gears after all, much less when they're in an echo chamber. I think, MrGirl and even Lav assumed they could change Destiny from get go and faced a massive wall when Destiny treats people similarly be they friend or even adversary at least in anything public. I have watched Destiny over the years but I think big thing about Destiny is his understanding and patience in recent times, but it is universal and doesn't particularly extend when you become closer at least in the public. MrGirl thought that this understanding and patience would extend further as that is how I think most people tend to operate, but Destiny gives this in advance and that's it.

I watched destiny for years as well and it’s fairly obvious that destiny does not form any strong emotional attachments to anyone. It’s hard for people that do form emotional attachment to understand that your friendship is reliant on a list of pros and cons balancing precariously on a set of scales. He’s even said a lot of this shit about himself on his past streams and constantly demonstrates it through his actions. What these orbiters need to understand is destiny is using them so they need to use him because there’s nothing more to the relationship then mutual benefit. The sad thing is if it wasn’t beneficial to Destiny to call these people friends rather than associates a lot of these issue would be cleared up.

I think it's because a lot of people don't see a subreddit as being under the ultimate authority of the the sub's subject (an "individual's community"); I think they see it as the _community's_ community _about_ an individual. (I've never been a part of a sub in which the subject had any control over it. Usually the mods would tell them if they didn't like it, they should take it to Discord or something.) I don't think this would have bothered as many people not named Max if these sorts of rules applied just to DGG (the site, not the fanbase) and Discord. Those are spaces that everyone appreciates as belonging to a creator, curated however they want them to be. It seems kind of odd there's really nowhere Destiny fans could talk about criticisms they have of some recent style or argument of Destiny's without the risk someone like 4thot comes in a firebombs the place (after all, he has admitted the rules are arbitrary and you don't exactly have to be hyper-critical to face his wrath). Ironically, it actually incentivizes anti-fans, if you insist on driving all criticism you're not happy with on a given day to a specific corner of the internet.

So, one day we went to stay for the month of holidays at my in-laws when I was first married. There's nothing about this that's complicated whatsoever. It started with the Fuentes stuff. Max was pushing against Destiny really hard with that(which is fine), but he refused to let it go. And then Max started going wild on Destiny's reddit, posting A LOOOOT leading to Max literally declaring "war" on Destiny's subreddit and its moderation. Max literally did this to himself, honestly not the best course of action from Max in many ways, especially since Max has such little good will left from D's community from what I can tell. I would define a slur as an insult that you say to someone that targets and immutable characteristic that they have that usually falls along the lines of protected classes. Race is a protected class and gender is a protected class. The n-word is usually considered an insult (in particular when used by the outgroup, typically white people, on the ingroup, typically black people). Bitch is usually considered an insult (in particular when used by the outgroup, typically men, on the ingroup, typically women). This is not a very difficult concept to understand. I personally understand both sides of the argument. Destiny is saying 'fuck you, I'm not going to protect anyone or alter my subreddit moderation style in any way that specifically benefits anyone other than myself' which is fair enough, considering it's his subreddit. But it would appear MrGirl and his supporters are saying 'I don't need to you protect me, allow me to protect/defend myself' which is also valid to some degree imo. But the issue with that is, the subreddit then becomes a non stop back and forth over MrGirl, which I don't imagine would be very health for Destiny's subreddit. But what I DON'T get, is why people are so feverishly interested in talking about MrGirl on the subreddit. Just don't talk about it and this all goes away.

MrGirl is obviously more arrogant than Destiny. MrGirl says he's arrogant as a cop out to never having to change his mind about anything, when pushed backed on anything he can just invoke the "I know I'm arrogant I've said I'm arrogant multiple times so I can just double down on everything I say and never change my mind about anything." Destiny is confident in his positions and can argue coherently about most if not all of his viewpoints concisely and effectively and when challenged is able to see the other person's point of view and still hold steadfastly on his positions until ample evidence comes out that sufficiently challenges his positions, but he's not wishy washy nor is he dogmatic which is a fine line to tow but also a really good skill to have.

IDK what cheap ass Vasectomy this dude had, but when I went for mine I was in and out in like 15 minutes. Honestly, the thing I've learned from this is to limit my involvement to KZbin and never pay for a sub, because who can say when you'll be banned? I'm not a MrGirl fan. But one doesn't have to be a MrGirl fan to look at some conversation between the two of them (not this latest fiasco, but as a general proposition) and say, "Hey. I actually think I see Max's point on this one." If that's the case, I guess I would be expected to lie or shut up? What if I didn't even agree with MrGirl, but thought his point had been missed, and was just trying to posit what I thought he was saying? Personally, I find it counterproductive to shun all criticism you or the mod(s) don't like at any given time (because it's not exactly clear or consistent). That's going to send Destiny fans who have critiques off to a separate space dedicated to that sort of conversation, which seems to create _exactly_ the anti-fan atmosphere you're concerned about. Last, if you're looking to get more women involved, 4thot as a mod (or others like him) is going to turn a fair number of us off. Listening to him act like (and maybe he is) the Untouchable, Unimpeachable King of the Sub, then refuse to articulate a bannable standard, and say it's good enough that users have a chance to grovel their way back, was more than enough to put me off ever wanting to participate in the sub. The vast majority of situations that involve being banned from a community anywhere on the internet involves obviously disagreeable action. Learn and understand the rules of discourse or don't join/participate. It's pretty clear and easy to understand that if people get banned for something and you want to participate in that community then just don't do it. If you disagree don't participate. There's incredibly absolutely no grey area whatsoever.

As others have said it, Mrgirl is probably the most manipulative orbiter Destiny ever had. That being said, I don't think he's actually malicious. Its weird, yes, but mrgirl is just really manipulative because that's how he's been his whole life. We can see this through his relationship with his gf. The worst of all is that I don't think he does it with the intention of benefitting himself but rather he does it in order to do what he perceives is right to him and others.
