I remember when I had my shop in the 90’s the Auto Magic truck came by and showed me a clay bar I thought he was crazy lol! All these years later and I can’t live without clay or a mitt. I also thought of play doh lol. Our stories are so much the same. I also talk to the new generation about the heavy duty 3m compounds we used with wool on single stage paint and the black and decker tank rotary polishers and they look at me like I’m crazy. So much has changed and continues to change for the good of course. Have a blessed day brother.

Yeah, we had originally planed to turn these videos into reels. Moving forward, everything will be filmed correctly.

I do a similar wipe down using a perforated clay towel (I will try the P&S one next) but instead my towel is dunked in a bucket of rinseless. I will dip it in absolute. This gives extra lube and protection

This probably isn’t recommended but I have seen others and have tried myself using brake buster as a lube diluted 5:1. Does great for a “strip wash” prior to polishing.

May not be good for the clay towel. Paint prep is good too!
