Really should have represented the U.K at 1995's Eurovision. Great '90's POP 🎈

Deuce might have been able to easy win, not only in my ranking, but in a real contest too. I think "Love City Groove" is the worst ESC choice from any pre-selections ever, because UK win was stolen by itself.

Yes..my favourite..I remember voting for this 20 times and Dear Jon with One Gift of Love 10 times..Nostalgia .💪🏻😜😁

I'm watching this video straight after seeing Ollie Alexander getting 0 votes in the public vote in the 2024 Eurovision 😮🤷♂️.It's gotten pathetic at this stage, blaming the Brits for anything and everything.

Just found this and cannot believe the UK didn't send this to Eurovision! Like WTF! This is absolutely on point, it's better than any other song the UK has considered.. totally 1995.. Oh well :P

They entered it into the heats but it was defeated in the final contest by an equally good song, Love City Groove, so that became the entry.

Love City Groove was shite, not a touch on this. This has everything Eurovision loves in music.

This is why the UK public cannot be trusted to send anything to Eurovision

Yes miles better than Irish Pop Music let me tell you..unless the Irish work behind the scenes in British Pop Music Industry ..I do know that Britain regularly receives quite alot of Irish Brains every year..😉

Still love Deuce’s ‘Call It Love’ & still listen to it today, yes it’s a bit of cheese-soaked guilty pleasure but it reminds me of happier carefree times.

This and "call it love" are underrated songs for what they are, pop 90s hits

I love this song! Everything about it is awesome! I only just discovered that it was a possible UK Eurovision entry back in 1995, but came in third in the UK national song selection. It would have made an AMAZING Eurovision entry.

Love city grove who gave their song and group the same name in 95, beat this song to represent the uk. No wonder we hardly win, we keep sending the wrong song.

This should have represented the UK in 95 - not Love City Groove. However, I wonder how it would have sounded live with an orchestra?

I love this song and it deffo should have gone into Eurovision. I thought it was a song from a film lol. I saw them live at the northgate arena Chester years ago

Other than this one, has any other song in A Song For Europe (or similar) fail to win but nevertheless make the Top 10?
@LastDreamer74 жыл бұрын
I really still believe that Deuce could beat "Nocturne".

I’m always suspicious of pop songs that start off with a chorus. I think it’s because the verses to this song suck harder than a Dyson . The chorus is great though

The only annoying thing about this song is that irritating ‘do do do do do do - do do do do do do’ bit the rest is great

Can anyone please tell me are these lyrics correct: "Wandering like an aimless fool You don't look happy, you don't look cool Just a bad end will close you in The lights are on and there's nobody there." An internet search comes up with those lyrics. Everytime I listen i hear: "Wandering like an aimless fool You don't look happy, you don't look cool Just a bag and the clothes you wear The lights are on and there's nobody there." Does anyone else hear that or is it just me? By the way, those lyrics describe me perfectly!

I loved Deuce but i always felt this was there weakest track and should never have been in contention for eurovision, loce city groove deserved to win song for europe. If Deuce had entered a different track tho....
