I always stress out when bowls aren't scraped completely out in videos lol...I may be a little intense about scraping my bowls when I bake 😂

Here I am thinking I'm the only one who does this! LOL My mom got me into the habit. Europeans who lived through food shortages during the war view it as respecting food they were lucky to have.

usually Sarah does not scrap clean the ingredients. Lindsay does though.

you bet i am intense about scraping, i think it takes me longer to scrap the hell out of all my cooking utensils than the actual recipes itself. i scarp all i can... bowl, spatula, hook of the kitchen aid etc etc. its an obsession and if i dont do it to the max, then after its stay in my mind ; "i shouldn't put all this food in the drain!! " .... so yes i have problems and yes i need a psychotherapy lol

Hey Sarah! You know what my grandmother told my mother about adding vanilla to baked goods? "Add vanilla even if the recipe doesn't call for it. Vanilla goes with everything but lemon."

I enjoy watching all of your videos because you’re very real about the way you bake I don’t like to watch videos where it seems like every single thing they do is so perfect and there is no mess, and it’s always really neat and clean??? baking is not neat and clean, I love your videos I love your recipes, you’re the bomb girl

I went and made these cupcakes and the ganache frosting in no time. They are delicious. If you get the munchies, like Sarah obviously did, they are quick to whip up in a jiffy. #PerfectRecipe

THIS TURNED OUT PERFECT! Just love the dark flavor. Only problem is that the measurements is in cups it just makes it inconvenient to reduce the quantity

Oh my yummmo! What is it about the corn syrup in the ganache that makes it more stable? Do you mean shelf stable so it doesn't need refridgerating, or stable as in less runny? Thanks in advance :)

I keep seeing chocolate cake/cupcake recipes that involves adding coffee, can I use coffee instead of warm water?

Yes you can. I keep a small jar of instant espresso powder in my cupboard and add it to my chocolate cake recipes all the time. The instant espresso can be added to the warm water and will dissolve immediately. It also gives a richer, fuller flavor.

Yes, yogurt. I use it in place of sour cream often. Just be sure the yogurt you use is not fat-free.

Why not boil sugar butter cocoa and water for some minutes to remove the rawness of the cocoa?! And then just combine everything afterwards.

It's supposed to the opposite of Angel's food cake, which is white and very light compared to the dark and rich Devil's food cake.

Isn’t this Lindsay’s setup? I feel like this was a last minute sub and Sarah was all turned around cause she would have had the mixer on the left side not the right and she would have used a real stove not a portable burner. She even mentioned the measuring cup rather than ice cream scoop.

It would be better to boil the cocoa with water for five minutes, until the rawness disapears, instead of just mixing it with warm water.
