Looks good. The issue is the price. Very EXPENSIVE

I just got the two drawer and the large single drawer and it’s definitely worth it. I had just the rolling box, 2 drawer and briefcase box from dewalt for over 3 years making it work. These dxl cabinets definitely put it all together.

Nice setup. I like how dewalt has upgraded their tough system.

PLEASE 🙏🏼 share where you got those yellow bins you are using in the smaller 2-drawer unit shown @ 4:28!!! I have several of the TS 2.0 2-drawer units (& 3-drawer) and am struggling to find decent cups/dividers to segment the drawers. That is my only grip from Dewalt with these drawers, otherwise they kick ass compared to other brands drawer units IMO.

A lot of money… my self employed father worked 50+ years with diy shop made solutions. I’m second generation and still use a lot of his builds and countless of my own. Almost daily I see young and old guys making and saving far less than myself getting swept up in all this “crap”. None of which is going to around in 20 years of actual contractor use. And none of it will be repairable. Just look at the “versions” of all this crap that have come and gone since 2018 even…

I agree with your premise, but not for this workstation. I have all my Tough System, the original still in 6:59 more than 10 years. How much does your father's stuff weigh? It's going to be a lot heavier than plastic. How does it withstand the elements? My jobsite toolboxes are often in the rain and snow. And time is money. How long did it take him to build it? Can it do everything this did? If your father put in more than 20 hours of work, then it's better that i work, earn money, and buy it already made. Has nothing to do with laziness. I completely custom built my tool trailer interior similar to the Ron Paulk system. Why? It was cheaper for me to do it, and buying a pre built system is too much. But this? It's cheaper in the long run if I buy it. And what if you're a different trade than carpentry like plumber, hvac, electrical, and you don't have all the tools to build your own? Not everything DIY, even if it's built to last, makes it better. Plus, my father passed, and I don't use any of his tools on a jobsite for fear of breaking or losing it. Not saying buy the latest and greatest all the time, which some people do, but this system checks all the boxes for me personally. And i'm not saying your father's stuff isn't better than this, i'm sure it is, but I like this workstation. Other than the wheels, which I plan to modify and upgrade to a bigger all terrain caster. Amazon to the rescue : POWERTEC 8 Inch Caster Wheels!!

This is another of SB&D's absurd ideas that will not work. The units are big, really heavy (empty) and ridiculously expensive. For the full price you can buy a rolling tool chest for the garage like Husky and a mobile tool box with drawers like Ridgid.
@Toolaholic10 күн бұрын
i disagree, because i have actively lived through that solution for the last few years. mobile tool boxes do not last in transportation. my box in my van is heavily banged up now. they are meant for stationary shop use. you cant roll a metal tool chest around a jobsite. it wont withstand moisture, and its not modular meaning you cant carry only a section with you, you have to roll the full chest around.

No offense Sir, but I would love this system as well if Dewalt gave it to me. However, the setup you have is about $1,500. That’s insanely overpriced.

For the $10-$120 in materials it is made of it seems rather overpriced to me, about 500%++ kind of overpriced. It seems to be an issue with Dewalt and Milwaukee as of late, I can pretty much guarantee that a name is not worth $100 extra per tool if the tool is not the ABSOLUTELY the Best.
@derekparent752Ай бұрын
@@johnthumble5154 did I say $100? No, I said they add $100 because of the name, now when I look at this particular tool box setup in this video, do you know how much it is? Well over $2000… I was holding one half as big in my hands 2 days ago, a package $1200… I would give you $300 at most. A fishing tackle box x3 and some much better wheels from Amazon, and a 3/4 plywood top. Well under $300.
