I dig that they are going for an Indiana Jones game instead of a typical action game with an Indiana Jone skin. They really seem to understand and care about the character. I like the focus on wits with fists. I hope that the puzzles are bit more complex than in Uncharted :)

@@jeckek9936 No, most action games are very straight forward and tunneled. You go from one end of the level climbing and shooting things until the end. Uncharted had occasional puzzles that were appropriate for a first grader. This game incorporates stealth, more clever puzzles, and more exploration than an Uncharted game. It also has more focus on fist fighting instead of guns.

It seems like Troy Baker pretty much nailed the Harrison Ford voice, but how's the rest of the sound? There are certain sound effects from those movies that, as a child of the 80s, are burned into my brain as being "correct". In particular the punch sound effects or the fact that Indy's revolver sounds like .50 cal when it goes off.

The game series has always been stuck in backwards compatible hell so if there's any chance of seeing it on current gen, or steam for that matter, with 60fps or higher, we should want to take it. Having to pull out a 20+ year old device to play the better version of the original is a hassle. Especially when you consider having to get new cables to fit hdmi and even then have to deal with over blown, under pixelated imaged forced onto a 4k (probably) display. Even Athena will suffer from 4k tvs. Games made primarily for tube tvs just dont look good on uhd tvs. A new remake/master would be greatly accepted for many reasons

I'm 100% with you on this issue. Bring on the exploration, and the stealth sections, and the wholloping fist a cuffs, but it's not Indiana Jones without some truly memorable, high octane set pieces. You gotta give us some, Machinegames. I have been so hyped for this game since it was first announced and the most excitement I have seen Indy do in these demos in sneaking around. Remember the tagline to Temple of Doom: "If Adventure Has a Middle Name, Then It Must Be Indiana Jones." Based on what I've seen so far I'm not feeling it at all. One of sequences shown on the game is Indy and his gal pal on a ship I believe frozen in the mountain. The Nazis show up, a tussle ensues, the music is blaring, and we have an action setpiece in the making. Yes! And yet, it's all played out in a cutscene. Did Machinegames think that we wouldn't want to play through something like that, as Indiana Jones. I'm thinking, I want to play this section, give me the frickin controller. It's as if they were more concerned with defying expectations instead of truly putting us in the shoes of Indiana Jones, the same guy who was dragged behind a moving truck, the same guy who participated in a mine cart chase that literally jumped the track, the same guy who nuked the fridge. I really hope that Machinegames has those epic moments under wraps for spoiler reasons, but I honestly don't want to spend 75% of the time on an Indiana Jones game sneaking around and hitting guys in the back of the head with a thrown hammer.

The artstyle and ego perspective reminds me a little bit of the Sherlock Holmes games by Frogware (like The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes Chapter One). These can be played both, in 3rd person and the ego perspective, as far as I remember. The later games of the Holmes series were also a kind of mixture between action and adventure games. And I think that this type of genre fits exactly with an Indiana Jones game. Can't wait to play The Great Circle!

@@eded9157 That's a fair observation on your part. I remember they stated that the game begins at Marshall College and Indy wakes up to an intruder in a main artifact room. There's a brief fight, the intruder escapes, and then Indy and Marcus Brody proceed to put relics back in their designated spots. Wow, thrill a minute there, difficult to contain my excitement. Where's the thrilling action setpiece that opens every Indy movie? It's expected at this point, like James Bond. Even the segment they showed with Indy and his gal pal in the frozen ship teetering on a mountain top was all cutscene. Gee, wouldn't it have been logical and exciting for the player to actually participate in the setpiece? Why are we not playing that segment? I'm sure Machinegames is attempting to defy expectations, but if they deviate too far away from the highly successful Indiana Jones formula then fans like myself won't give a crap.

Why do it in first person, its not needed, its not a first person shooter. I was looking forward to this but so far it looks kinda boring, Where are the set pieces and the puzzle solving and, even in the Tomb Raider games the terrain was a puzzle in itself, you should be able to choose how you play it, throwing bottles to distract guards is going to get really tired as a mechanic really quick, there lack of enthusiasm for the game is really telling.
