I am pleased that this moderator refers to the temperature scale. So often videos from the U.S. simply give the temperature ignoring the scale being used. In Canada, as in the rest of the world, we use the metric system, i.e., celsius, not fahrenheit.

Your information really helps me a lot. I have dianthus bicolor and dianthus paint the town magenta. You say dianthus love sunlight but my bicolor don't. Everytime the flowers bloom and get too much heat, they'll be sere. Idk why.

I bought the Encore Autumn Amethyst about a month ago. Planted it into my half size barrel, sunny location. All the flowers eventually fell off. I belive it had to do with those cool 40 temps. ..and lots of rain. Yesterday i noticed one side of branch's withering away...otherwise it looks OK. is there anything i could do or should do , regardless what mother nature does?

The one thing I never know is, and would like help with, is how many single seedlings do you generally put in one pot? Is it best to only put on of your seedlings in a pot or better to put a few, so it will fill the pot? I only started gardening and so in my mind, I always think one couldn't possibly be enough but I don't want to make a mistake. :) For Pinks, how many would you put in a pot? Thanks!

Hi Joe, Thanks for your comment! We are a perennial wholesale company and this video is focused on the production side of growing Dianthus in a nursery or greenhouse. This is an industry video and does contain some technical terms. We do have a glossary of terms on our website, which you can view here: www.waltersgardens.com/glossary.php Thanks again for your comment! Walters Gardens
