Whatever your stance is on Dream, I hope both sides can agree on some of the points made in this video. There's a lot to learn from Dream's channel, both during and after his peak popularity. Also, if you have any extra information to share, feel free to leave comments! I'll be sure to read everything when I'm not busy :)

I really can't see Dream ever making a big return to the KZbin scene. Since Manhunt ended, I feel like Dream as a creator also ended. He seems to have found comfort in not creating anymore. He went viral within weeks of creating his channel and now that the virality of his channel is over. It seems he has lost the passion he once had. Nothing will ever compare to Minecraft Manhunt and I think deep down he knows that. I've given up on expecting content from him and I don't see him ever having a spark to create consistent videos again :(

Its understandable why he'd end the Manhunts, given that there's only so many you can do before the idea stops feeling remarkable. He had a VERY good run, in the end.

@@W0lfCL I meant he has don e nothing to stop his fans and.. of course because his stans are dumb as a box of tissues, when dream and his friends are roleplaying or just joking, his stans get this as an attack to Dream and try to defend him for no reason, AND most of the time bullying that other friend. Take Tommyinnit for example. Or they get cought up in his drama for no reason whatsoever. There's also the thing that because he is so "successful" his friends try to do the same thing and usually, (surprise surprise) fail.

@@hampter3819 Ok you're flat out wrong. 1. Saying he "ruined his friends" and even quoting "friends" is insane. 2. He HAS called out his stans dozens of times. It's just gone under the radar for a while for you guys outside of the community and/or people not inspecting these things, probably because you never did your research and just wanted to follow what the crowd said, and because no commentary channels ever reported on that. 3. Saying he "ruined" the ENTIRE Minecraft community is the goofiest by far, because Minecraft has 100s of millions of fans and players, meanwhile Dream only has 31.7m subscribers, most of which are, just like a lot of us in the first wave of Minecraft years ago, (for the most part) innocent kids just watching the popular Minecraft youtubers that are around. Btw at their "peak" there were only a few ten thousand stans out of those 10s of millions of subs, and that number kept decreasing and mediating and now toxic Dream stans are almost non-existent. Also... you say some of this stuff as if it's happened at all recently? Which is also completely wrong. It seems you're stuck in the past. Let me remind you we're in July 2023, not July 2021.

I don't believe its really as simple as many people think on Dream's situation. To me his current status makes a lot of sense for what he went through (and is still receiving the brunt of today and likely for the rest of his youtube career and life) To understand it you need to do some predictive reasoning. If Dream were to start creating videos again what would the response be. He has many more enemies than friends, so I can imagine he would probably get gunned at pretty mercilessly. A lot of the comments in this thread are representative of this as well as this video as a whole. Most of what is publicized about him is negative and so that is what will get remembered. In a sense the scandal is probably the only thing we will remember him for in the long run. As far as the Stans issue goes I feel like that issue was actually much smaller than people truly believe, but sparked something massive amongst the community. From what I know I can't remember any documented knowledge of the super bad stuff that had actually happened and for most people I am willing to believe that they never truly saw anything super bad happen themselves, but just joined the band wagon because that is what is easy. At the core though I'm not doubting super bad stuff did happen because people aren't illogical, there has to be a reason such a response happened to warrant the start of such a backlash. However, there is a correct way to respond and the overall minecraft community did so incredibly poorly as well as the moderators of the minecraft speedrunning community (Their reputation was badly damaged as was Dream's reputation). The thing with disagreements is that when 2 sides are very passionate that they are correct both sides see themselves as righteous and correct and it makes sense logically for both. So in this situation just because someone does not agree with you does not make them a Stan. This is where the greater Minecraft community went wrong, the majority of people calling others stans were doing so to people who didn't agree with them, not people who were actually dangerous. Eventually, repeating instances of this makes people who were calling others Stans more and more dangerous. So in a sense the people who were against Dream ended up becoming the true Stans. This has a lot to do with why Dream isn't on KZbin much anymore, especially with his face reveal making him identifiable in public (admittedly other's knowing what he looks like is not good with how many online enemies he has) This concept is similar to many wars in the past. Terrorists, the Holocaust, and others have this. All these groups do not fight just to kill, there is a logic behind it in their eyes and they believe they are doing the correct thing. Due to this they can get blinded of the real Evil that they are committing because its not seen as Evil. (Cycles of Justice, Vengeance, and Revenge) To conclude this I think we can expect to not see Dream much ever again. With how many negative things we have to remember him by as well as others making more videos about it there will always be plenty of people that are resentful towards him and thus attracting attention is rather dangerous. In the end both parties committed terrible things.

Cool video. It’s interesting to see the point about his Minecraft videos not being as good as before. I watched out of curiosity one of the newest ones, but it just wasn’t interesting. Maybe might just be me, but I did miss out the whole coming to fame moment of the dream team. Stans probably ruined it as well. Hope the dream stans don’t beat you up verbally.

I’m glad you talked about channel peaks at the end, as, even if content creators aren’t at their peak, that is usually due to them being in a stable period afterwards. Since Dreams peak was for so long, people just assume that his peak should be his forever ‘normal’ view rate. And I think the problem Dream is facing is that he needs to find some type of regular content for his channel, since after Manhunts, it seems like he doesn’t know what content to make yet. As for his upload frequency, it will be fine as long as it’s quality over quantity. Since Dream got most of his fans from Manhunt video, he still has the option of starting a different type of content and growing with that. It might not be as popular as Manhunts were (partially due to Covid) but it can still work out for him. And as a side note, I don’t have an opinion on Dream as I don’t look at controversies due to the amount of disinformation out there. I look at him purely from a view of him being a content creator.

Some things: 0:38 He didn't actually mean this, the video was a promo for his new song and it worked perfectly. 1:42 He gained 1m new subs from the face reveal alone too, which I'm confused on why you didn't include (also funnily enough Sunny's thumbnail says "no subs" when he did in fact get subs) More or less everything else in this video was pretty good and I was actually happy to hear some points here other people somehow miss, especially with how Dream doesn't upload and how he's not followed through on promises. That is overall the main reason for Dream's decline, his own laziness. He has in fact played an active role in his channel's decline, which is ironically, not being active. His channel is indeed past its prime, at least for the forseeable future, that being said he could continue to stay consistent for years like many other creators and streamers that have already arguably passed their primes like Markiplier (although he's kind of a shot in the dark), DanTDM, Jacksepticeye, Ninja, etc. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be going in this direction and it feels like any passion he had is long gone. He used to upload weekly, sometimes multipe times a week, to once a month, to once every 1 or 2 months, to taking even longer breaks between videos (especially the $1m mrbeast video and the double screen challenge video, there was a SEVEN MONTH GAP), and now still once a month, when these videos he makes don't take more than a day to make. He can definitely turn things around but it's gonna be hard. I just wish that, if he doesn't really wanna be a creator that much anymore, he just said something and was honest so at least we knew where he was at. But if he does still want to be, then he needs to actually gets his work ethic back and stop making promises only to end up not delivering.
