The resonator does help get rid of some of the rasp. It's a relatively cheap fix. There are other things you can do if you want to change the sound such as replacing the X-pipe with an H, installing shorty headers, or changing the axle back. Although shorty headers add next to nothing in terms of horsepower, they will give you a deeper tone and will reduce rasp. As I mentioned earlier, I am having a problem with my cats. My car is at the tuners to fix my supercharger. He is aware of my problem with the trouble codes I'm getting (P0420 and P0430) and he will advise me as to how I should proceed. I'll let you know what he says. It might help you or others that watch the channel.

Doomsday is my favorite 3.7 build. I wish Instead of the EcoBoost. They twin turboed the v6. Makes more sense to me.

There's a video of twin turbo V6, they used the turbos from a Fusion... bumped the V6 to 330hp. Still a ways to go before that Cyclone can catch a Coyote

slydewayz84 They’re doing it wrong then. The FB 3.7 group has multiple built turbo cars running 9’s in the 1/4. That’s the 1 and 2 cars. 3-10 cars are running stock sealed 3.7s mostly turbos and 1 procharged car all in the 10’s. A properly boosted 6 has plenty for a coyote. HP to weight ratio is real.

@@Doomsday410 That seems a little off 30 horsepower for twin turbos. If I'm not mistaken the Raptor puts out 450 h.p and 510 ft.lb of torque. I think that would be enough to put a beat down on a Coyote. I love the 5.0 but even a Kia stinger can give one a run with it's V6 t.t.

Better for sure. But in a weird way, I'm not sure by how much. Definitely smoother across the entire powerband. Will be considering sending you pics...may only do the EcoBoost Stang, if the project car was further along for sure I would send it too

I got a rouche cai bbk shorties headers borla resonator and slp2 loudmouth axle backs. On my 3.7... love the sound. Gurgley no rasp or drone at all. Not loud unless u get on it. Sounds deep bass tuned to me. The borla resonator to me is key to refining the sound. Loud wasn't the goal for me. Refined was. If u listen to each exhaust mod separately on KZbin ull hear that each mod sound is even throaty with no rasp. I know that a 3.7 doesn't sound like a v8... but I'm damn near close. Ppl think it has that v8 burble . No pops or clicks if that's ur thing.

Sounds really good down low. The higher RPM still seems a little Raspy. But It could be totally different in person.

You know what to do get ride of the rasp of you want our set up. All you need to do is add the magnaflow resonators and if you wanna run the flowmasters still that’s up to you

not fixed yet. Too thin dampening layer. Resonator, to effectively damp the rasp, above 3k, must be much thicker, with multiple dampening layers inside. Another problem would be drone (if high flow headers installed), below 2,5k - that needs to be addressed separately. You will spend a lot of money trying to get the nice exhaust note and effects will not be guaranteed. I know from practice :)

Sounds similar to mine. The rasp on mine is crazy above 3500- 4000 rpm. I need to add the Jones too. Also I thought Brent got a 3v.

Thanks man. Ive having. Blast with the 3v. Alot of car there for the 8k i payed for it. The s550 chassis is incredibly good..learned that after going backwards a step in platforms. But over all i love the car. Its a more raw experience than the s550. I still miss my 16 though. The hope is to get a used gt350 in a few years maybe

Are you straight pipe after that? I think a set of Pypes Street Pro Touring straight through Axlebacks would make it sound spot on, if so. Just my opinion.

So LMR has their house catback exhaust, and it’s reasonably priced. lmr.com/item/SVE-151934/mustang-gt-sve-catback-exhaust-kit-15-17. Its for the GT but it should fit. Also, it has a H-Pipe which could probably give a more deeper tone. Haven’t tried these yet but my guess is it should sound 👌🏻

Chop Stick She made 409hp 352tq on 8 psi and 93. Have her on 10-11 psi and e85 now. Haven’t been back to the dyno yet. I’d guess 460-470. We’ll know for sure soon 😉

For my 2015 v6 camaro I did a 2nd cat delete replaced with Jones Exhaust resonators, non resonated xpipe, and GM performance mufflers. Check my Instagram out @tuxmaro love your mustang bro!

Get rid of that xpipe they dont do nothing for our 3.7l mustang do a y pipe off the headers to a single mid pipe & y pipe to the muffler all the nice sounding r35 gtr ford Taurus sho and 350/70 dont have x or h pipe

vic gadsden I might circle back to the sound at some point. Right now I’m after that 11.9 or better in the 1/4. I just added the Jones resonators now so my ears would stop bleeding 😄
