One concern I have is secret service told the photographers to go to the front of the stage before the shots were fired. Right before the shots were fired. The difference here is that the timing on this is stupid. The Democrats can still change their candidate in time for the election and he's been barely up on Biden. The numbers I've been seeing from the most recent polls before yesterday only had Trump up by 3 or 4 points. He will undoubtedly get a bump out of this, but the voters have a very short attention span and there's nearly 4 months until the general election. This is much too far away from the election to guarantee victory, especially if the Democrats do something uncharacteristically savvy and boot both Biden and Harris from the ticket and nominate Bernie and center-left candidate to round out the ballot. So, we'll see. But, this clearly is a thing that naturally happened, I would be absolutely shocked if it was anything other than a single lone wolf attacker that got extremely lucky due to the incompetence of the folks that were supposed to protect Trump.
