Hmmm... I think if two independent professionals have examined you and told you that you are not autistic, chances are, you are not. Your "friends" likely have a reason to confirm what you apparently want to hear (they want to soothe you or perhaps avoid a conflict). Instead of trying to self-diagnose, I would encourage you to return to one of those two physicians (or both) and have them explain their conclusion to you and THEN AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ask them for therapy. It seems like you have some underlying need that is unmet or maybe you are suffering from a different disorder. Maybe it is asbergers or ADHD. so don't chase a diagnosis just because it is "popular". Get yourself the help you actually need.

You are not then. You can doctor shop and find someone who will tell you you are, but it's very likely incorrect.

It's because of external reasons! Also new dsm is dropping very soon so I would wait for that

I read in a book that this is more a historical effect of bias than a gender difference since "male autism" is also observed in women and "female autism" is observed in men. Definitely interested in the topic!
