Hey loving the videos! I just got a new wrangler with the one touch and planning to use the same spray/brush when the weather warms up a bit. Do you think plastic wrap would work well as a barrier for the spraying?

Do you run the sky top through an automatic car wash or always hand wash? I have heard conflicting answers. Thanks

I’m in the process of ordering a new 392 and my sales person thinks I should get the one touch top, does it leak at all? Is it noisier than the hardtop do you think? I don’t know which way to go? I feel it’s more secure and probably more quiet with the hardtop? Any advice? Thanks for the awesome video that’s great instruction thank you. 👍

yea, the one touch is between hard top and standard top in terms of noise. Seems like 70+ mph you get some wind noise on the one touch top, but I'm fine with it because I'm usually cranking up the stereo. It was a no brainer getting the one touch after I saw it operate.

Thanks for this video! I took my Jeep on the beach and now the tracks are full of sand and you can hear the crunch when the top opens/closes. I do not have an air compressor, should I take it to the dealership to clean out?

I think at that point it would be cheaper to just buy a small air compressor to use around the house and clean your top out!

You're expediting the demise of that top by scrubbing it. I realize what you are doing is absolutely cleaning it. However, scrubbing it is causing it to wear out much more quickly. Good luck.

I suggest that anyone dealing with Lithium Ion batteries research fires. I was going to use one in my Harley but have personally seen 3 separate fires that burned 3 Harleys to the ground. Whenever I ask that battery manufacturer if they solved the fire problem they say yes. Now if I ask if they will warrantee my bike or vehicle against battery fire they will all say "We will warranty the battery". Google lithium battery car fires and you will see. On the motorcycles, I saw burning, the fire departments had a heck of a time to get the fires out. They HAVE NOT perfected these batteries yet. Once these things short out, internally, and a fire starts, you are pretty much screwed. Does it happen a lot? No but enough that I wont put them in any of my equipment. Ask yourself this, why have manufacturers not started using them in all their cars?

Can I take my sky one touch through the car wash?

Yes. Just make sure the top roller in the automatic wash is able to be turned off. Most car washes can accommodate. It also has this information in your manual.

I had a 2012 Jeep Liberty with the Sky One Touch and never went through the automatic car wash. I will not do it with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL Sky One Touch.
