Good stuff! Hubby and I were laughing so hard at seeing ourselves in some of these scenarios. Wish we could see the entire session.

+Lisa E - Sorry that you have arrived at the conclusion that this is a gender inequality promotion, I would say that it is comedic acknowledgement that Men and Women are different in more ways than just physiology. The speaker never condoned violence, in fact he told the women a way to avoid it. Most men aren't normally violent, but most men do have either short tempers or emotional scars; this doesn't make them bad people, just people that need help. Some help is beyond the help of an untrained counselor and an objective third party is never a bad idea. That being said, the audience is important to consider here, Joe is a marriage counselor, giving the first of several sessions about marriage. He is abrupt, to the point, and no nonsense. Joe seems to be trying to (comedically) shock them into re-examining their assumptions about what marriage is supposed to be. If your relationship is what you say it is then this style of presentation and method of presenting the message is most likely not going to speak to you. As someone who has been in bad relationships I wish that I had heard this message back then as the laughter would have softened the pain of realizing I was doing things wrong. The fact that Joe was in front of the camera speaking about what marriage is supposed (read pushing the couples to be better while lifting them with comedy) is ample witness that he cares. God Bless! Micah

Micah Beasley Funny thing, I’ve always lived with the belief that those who fight others or scream and yell do so because they lack the ability to actually have a discussion or to simply disagree. Their only defense is to become violent.

You can't turn a man into a woman or a woman into a man. XX or XY remain XX or XY no matter what. I know that is not politically correct and my heart goes out for those who struggle with gender identity issues. What is happening in the emotions and brain of the person is complicated, but our DNA remains our DNA and we remain male/female at the molecular level no matter what is done through hormone therapy and/or surgery. People desperately want what they feel and their lives to align, but sadly the only answer to that is spiritual, and for many the true completion of that will only happen in a relationship with Jesus Christ that culminates in eternity.

The short and sweet guy conversation are a fact in fact I was thinking about it the other day If I get lunch with the guys you basically really only talk for about 8 minutes the whole time and part of that includes the dirty jokes about either the ranch or gravy where as getting lunch with a woman is like squeezing 2 hours of conversation in 1.
