Dippers are songbirds that live and dwell in and around rivers and are indicator birds as to the quality of a rivers water. This Dipper was filmed on the river Monnow in Monmouth town in The Wye Valley. You can hear the A40 road directly above. It was a great sight filmed by Wye Explorer Paul.
This tune by Beluga Lagoon has the lyric: And the dipper on a stone, telling me this is his home - so on I go off the road.....check the tune out. It's awesome.

Nice looking bird 😊 I think this may have been one of the birds I saw in Scotland. It was sat on a rock and then I got a surprise as it dove in the water as it didn’t look like a bird that should do that 😅

I'm not sure that I am familiar with the Dipper bird. It is probably a bird from your climate, but it is very vocal and it reminds me of our blackbird, which is also a songbird but is nod diver. 😁😁
