I agree, I was so impressed with each one I met at Blackstone Clydes! Thanks for watching. 😊 I rode an Arabian for a "ride and tie" race demonstration early on in my Quest, but I am planning to feature the breed in a longer episode as well. I met a few Akhal-Tekes when I was filming the Kuda Padi in Malaysia but planning to film them in Turkmenistan.

First horse I sat on was a clydie named Sally at 6 months old. I grew up doing stuff with her for such a long time. She would put her head right down so I could fumble around putting her bridle on and her working collar. She was the first horse I ever fell off. There were I think 5 of us kids on her. The one on her rump slid and we all fell off. She just tuned her head and looked at us " like what are you all doing there" . I am 100% positive that she is where my love of horses has come from. They are truly the gentle giants of the horse world

Hi Lisa, First of all your videos are really amazing and heart warming and secondly, I don’t know if you ever heard about Indian Marwari horses or not , if you not then you must check out Marwari stallion, they are famous for their height, beauty, and specially ears. Their ears can turn 180 degrees and when both the ears turn inwards , they form heart shape because the tip of the ears are little curly. They look beautiful.

Clydesdales are the most beautiful horses. My Grandad was brought up using working Clydesdales in the North East of Scotland. He still had a pale, almost white Clydesdale called Donald which he used for forestry work. Donald was usually in a field behind my Grandparents cottage, he always ran over to me when I called his name, he liked nibbling my hair, many happy times with old Donald.

The first time I saw the Budweiser Clydesdales I was HOOKED. And the first time I sat on a pony in one of those pony walkers where there are 5 or 6 and they walk around and around, I was completely in love and knew I had to have a horse. I've had 7 horses in my life, unfortunately none were a Clyde or any type of draft horse. Now I'm 65 and, really shouldn't ride anymore, age and old injuries keep my feet on the ground. But I would NEVER give up the chance to ride a Clyde or any draft just once.

When my dear old Dad was growing up on a farm in Scotland they didn't have a tractor until after the war (WWII) and used teams of Clydesdale's, I have some great old photo's of him and his brothers posing with them. Everything about the Clydesdales is magical. They are one of the calmest breeds on the planet. they rarely spook and they are solid as a rock but very gentle too and they are super curious especially of children. Super smart and surprisingly agile they were draught horse for pulling beer carts back in the day and they also used as war horses as well as your basic farm work. Anheiser Busch heard about the slow decline in the numbers of the Clydesdales and brought a few of them and brought them to his stables to help rebuild the numbers of the Clydesdale, He has one of the largest collections of Clydesdales anywhere in the world now and treats them all like kings. The Clydesdale breed was put on the endangered list about 10-20 years ago but with the pride in the Scottish Heritage breed they are doing their best to breed them to help bring the numbers up to ensure the the Clydesdale horse stays around for a long, long time. Thank the lord for that. The most graceful animal in my book. such a cool breed.

Wow what an amazing breed. Clydesdales truly are a magnificent horse. Sunny definitely stole the show, out of all the Clydesdales in this video, he is my favorite. He just took my breath away at his size and coloring. He’s like a silver bay roan which is so beautiful. I also love how sweet yet prideful he is, perfect combination. My favorite thing about Clydesdales has to be just their size. The fact that they can get up 18.0 hands and 1800 pounds is insane. They are so big! Loved this video, it was so fun to watch ❤

My first horse ride was on my grandfather’s Clydesdales. I was about 3 and totally horse mad. While at the farm I’d ask him every hour when was it time I could ride the horse. My mom took a photo-I was tiny and of course the horse was huge. I’d hold the mane in my hands and I remember I’d have to scrunch my toes to keep my too large boots from falling off. I loved every second. In winter we were going to the woods for lumber and he had a large sleigh and you stand at the front edge and hold the reins and he let me drive the horses. Such happy memories. I would totally love to own a Clydesdale now. If I could get a horse, that’s what I’d want.

I have never been fortunate enough to ride a Clydesdale, but my favorite thing about them is attached to one of my favorite memories. My parents took me for my first trip to the New York State Fair when I was six. The Budweiser Clydesdales were there as featured guests. Those horses had hooves bigger than my face, but were gentle enough to let a strange little kid pet them!

Clydesdale are lovely, I sat on one years ago, I looked like a pea on a mountain. The only problem with them is like all larger draft breeds is they're extremely strong, if they bolt, you have absolutely nothing to stop you. The one I was one was out on a hack with his owner and his wife with her Highland, something happened and the Highland put her in the ditch, the Clydesdale took off road the one and the man could not stop him, luckily we were at the end of the road so managed to lure him with a treat.

Well you don’t even have much to put up against ponies or thinner horses anyway. They are pure muscle all of them and weigh hundreds of kg🥴 horses deserve massive respect and care no matter how small or big they are.

@@jupitersabyss5045 All ponies even a miniature shetland is stronger than a human. I've seen shetlands drag adult men around on the ground. 🤣 the key is simply discipline and boundaries from a young age, then they should grow with having manners not to barge or push people around

While working at the Kentucky Horse Park, I was lucky enough to catch all sorts of shows. One that sticks out in my mind, is a young couple exhibited their 2 Clydesdales as a barrel racer and in some dressage moves. Both horses seemed to really enjoy everything asked of them! Great ambassadors to promote the large breeds.

11:16 You feel so tall when you're on a draft horse. I love that one's color and physique!! We should definitely have this quest for more people. I was making it for new breeding facilities where we could station it around each horse breed so we can protect the whole group in the same way. As with all of the endangered species, We can let the horses help us save them and the people 🤗

@@mslowkeyttoyou9844 each of them goes through around a round bale every 10-14 days (about $80-$100) and then hard feed varies on top but prob $20-$60 depending on time of year per horse for hard feed a week. Then feet, teeth, rugs etc etc. This is in Australia.
