What is your favorite thing about the Highland Pony breed? 🐎
@user-qr8ki8ue4i2 жыл бұрын
They look a little bit like mini Andalusians. In fact I wonder if they have some Spanish roots, given their cresty necks, and one horse in particular in this vid that has the "eye" (@ 3:13)

I L❤️VE,L❤️VE L❤️VE the wild & wooly look!!! The Faroese pony has feathered hooves & they just look like the big boys w/out a sense of scale!!! All the horses have beautifully coloured coats, i think.

I have a highland pony and I do western riding with him, I have to agree with everything the lady said. They are so intelligent, very close to people, a giant heart. Mine is not so easy though, maybe a little bit too intelligent sometimes, with a strong temper, you really have to be his friend so he can give the best of him, otherwise ... it can become a little complicated ^^ also really cold, not afraid of many things, but really willing to go forward especially in the winter time. Love him so much.

Love the Video! My Arab mare would not have passed the crane monster.😂 This Scottish Pony should have been my first horse!!! Great character, not so spooky. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 Hessen ❣️😃👍💚

Thanks! Hahaha, yes, I know quite a few horses that would think the crane monster was definitely out to get them as well 😁.

Yay! Such a fine Adventure in the wilds of beautiful Scotland. This looks like one of the BEST places to go ever. I could live there. Looks like Paradise. Love these Highland Ponies. Trekking with the Highlands looks amazing. I think it's really great the 1st Breeder doesn't even think about breaking them in until after 5. They get to just be Wild and Free 🐎 these Gorgeous Highlands have a Great Spirit you can see it in all of them. The intelligence-absolutely. Walkin all about the Green fields while the ponies are grazing-Heaven. So Lovely! 🐎💖🙆🍀🌞 ~ Thank you so much for making these videos bc I never get to see anything like this.

My horse definitely would walk right past that constructing thing (I don't know what they're called in english 😂 ) I'm very proud to say she's very brave and non-spooky for a showjumper! I love all the native British pony breeds! They have something so special about them. The Fell are my favorite, but the Highland pony is also really amazing!

When the shot panned out and the castle was in the background, it was absolutely stunning! I have dreamt of pony trekking in the Highlands since I was a child. I love the ponies, history, beauty of Scotland. Someday, maybe...I love their versatility and was very happy the first woman doesn't start hers until they have a chance to grow/be kids.

In the 1960s and 1970s we lived in England (I’m Canadian) and when we toured the UK, Scotland and Wales, we did pony trekking almost daily. It was my greatest joy. There’s nothing like the love of the English for ponies. We stayed a week at a camping/pony trekking place near Edinburgh Scotland and we stayed a week. I volunteered with the horses that whole week and it was the happiest time of my life. I wish I could remember the name of the place and I wonder if it’s still around today.

It made my day to see the highland cows, we have a fold of about 85 head and I just finished showing four this weekend, they’re a wonderful breed of cow! And the dehorned mahogany (dark red with white, has also been referred to as “frosted”) was drop dead gorgeous!

The horse owner had one thing right--- When I crossed the border from England into Scotland, I felt a relief that I don't think I ever felt before... I know via dna that my paternal descendents are English and Irish, but I'm not sure all of which parts of the UK, other than England and Wales, my maternal side originated centuries ago. Regardless, I'm sure some in our lines are familiar with the Scottish horse breeds... They'd have to be a tough breed to survive the weather in the beautiful Highlands, that's obvious even in today's specimens... Thanks for showing us this breed, and the others, from Scotland!!

Are you going to Sweden? We have two native breeds. One working horse and a pony. Nordsvensk brukshäst (north swedish drafthorse) and Gotlandsruss (Gotlandpony). The ponies live on the island Gotland and live semi wild

I really like your videos and discovering breed I had never heard of enflée :) Just a small thing about the sound in your videos, when wearing headphones the sound is sometimes only on the right side or on the left. I don’t know if its intentional. If it is I don’t really mind, but if it isn’t maybe check the balance. I thought I would mention it ^^

I first pony trekked in Scotland for a week in 1964 when a student in the United Kingdom. That was at the Castle Hotel, near Gleneagles. I trekked again at Dalbrack near Montrose where I spent two weeks in total on the farm in 1971 and again in 1975. As a fairly competent rider, I was allowed on the second occasion to trek alone with my young son since the owners knew they could trust me, as well as their ponies to keep us all safe. a memorable occasion.

@hayati63742 жыл бұрын
No most breeds’ communities just start their horses younger. Which can be done, but when their joints are more mature they will be healthy until they are much older on average. That’s for all horses, they really don’t differ that much
