Good to see a family continue a legacy in fishing. Without any major skeletons in their closet. Jake has his issues, yes, but they're due to substance abuse. He doesn't get a pass, but he can improve. I think the Hillstrands fit that mold too. Unfortunately, way too many families are like the Hansens, with a laundry list of baggage, bad behaviour, and truly scary darkness. Mandy will still be on the Deadliest Catch, but expect Sig to be gone in a year or so, just like Edgar. Way too much liability for the show.

Phil was a young man when he passed. I noticed that most of the captains on deadliest smoke alot of cigarettes. That can contribute to health problems by itself. I wish they could stop smoking, they would be better off.
