When they introduced Star Wars Land they had a doc on what you cant wear which includes any military style clothing (imperial officer stuff), Fur suits (wookies), and any hard plate clothing (Rebel orange pilot outfits and storm troopers). Jedi robes were specifically called out as not allowed. What is even more funny is they sell Jedi robes at the stores in Star Wars land and have to explicitly tell you you can't wear them until you leave the park. 250$ just to have someone tell you you cant wear them till you get home. PEAK Disney TM magic right there.

Having spoken to cast members about this, you can’t wear the robes, but you can wear the tunic and you can carry a lightsaber. Apparently the tunics are permitted because Batuu is situated in the “First Order” timeline point, and there’s no Jedi as face characters to confuse people.

My ex-fiancee and her family had annual passes to Disneyland. When we were at the 3 or 4 month point of our relationship she asked if I'd be okay with her getting me an annual pass. I vehemently opposed this, as they went about 3 times a month, and I did not see myself going there more than once every 3 or 4 years. She got me one anyway, then got pissed at me when I continued to refuse to go. It's honestly the one place that pisses me off more than any other.

My parents were Disney adults. I was raised Mormon, and they always idolized Disney as the pinnacle of what safe entertainment should be. We went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 10, and something broke inside their heads - they got us annual passes despite the fact that we didn't even live in California, and they would suddenly decide, "The kids need school clothes" even though I was a teenager and did NOT want Disney clothes. Over the next 7 years, they'd ruin themselves with credit card debt and have their home repossessed in 2003, despite the record home value growth in those years. Dad's house is still full of Disney garbage, and he takes out HELOCs for it (because nobody ever tells a Boomer they can't buy a home just because they have no money). I hated it from the first visit. I'd be pulled out of school during midterms by surprise, just to stand in lines all day, and then spend all night listening to Dad's raucous snoring. Ugh.

By this point, Disney is effectively a religion, with Disneyland and Disneyworld as its Meccas, as fans make the pilgrimage to the holy site, fans collecting memorabilia as if they were religious artefacts, devoting every waking moment to the honouring of the Mouse, and watch their content as if it were holy mass. It's genuinely creepy that people can surrender so much of their free will, to a soulless multibillion dollar corporation, just because they happened to enjoy its content as children, as for me, Disney was just a fraction of the content I enjoyed in my early youth, I have a balanced diet of Don Bluth, foreign cartoons, Non-Disney animated features, and yes even rated R, I was only five when I saw my first rate R film - Backdraft, I have a liberated childhood, I have my suspicious that most Disney adults, were overly sheltered, and had limited exposure to anything restricted by their parents, hence the obsession with most things Disney, I have noted this phenomenon with other fandoms before.

Pluto is Mickey's dog, the mouse's dog. Ain't no dog's dogs

lmao thanks for the clarification !! & the way u clarified !! lol

in the original cartoons the first real appearance of "Pluto" is that of Minnie's dog Rover. There have been some Pluto looking dogs in the "Chain gang" cartoon, but they were bloodhounds that gave chase to Mickey while he escaped from jail. He later was renamed Pluto and became Mickey's dog.

@@Sketch2805Studios Dippy "Goofy" Dawg is, unsurprisingly, a dog. Clarabelle, while a cow, previously was usually shown paired with Horace Horsecollar (a horse). It doesn't matter what type of animal one or the other is. Goofy's a dog.

Had a Poli-Sci teacher in HS that LOVED Disney; he'd said he had made about 50 trips to Disney land by the time I had him and often used it as an example when explaining zoning and property laws. Funny thing is, no one really clowned him on it cause he was 50, about to retire, and straight up did not care anymore so he would just cook you right back. Dude was a really cool guy, one of those teachers that, if he saw you struggling but genuinely trying, would bump you up a letter grade just cause he could. Hope hes doing well

I use to work in Disney world little over a decade and I was enthralled being able to go into parks and see cool merch. Week later I was over it but I can’t handle being obsessed to solely Disney. I have my hyper-fixations & passions but these people took it up a notch. Whatever makes them happy I suppose

I wonder how many of those Disney adults are actually just marketing gimmicks from Disney

I worked with one. She spent ALL her vacation time at Disney parks or cruises. And she went all out on these things. Idk how she afforded to live considering how much some of those things cost.

I want to believe a good amount, but I've seen too many people emotionally obsessed with anime and comics to say it's very many. ... Wonder how weebs and comic nerds are gonna take that comparison, lol.

Normal adults who are fond of Disney are one thing. It’s when they start being weird about it that we’re obligated to roast them 🤷🏻♂️

No he’s not black facing, 24:15 his skin is naturally dark and when you cover most of the skin with bright color, your eyes would mistake that he got darker when really most of his skin is covered in bright color while his natural skin remains that gives the illusion that he is darker🙃❤️🔥🍻
