This channel has had it rough with the jack situation, but I'm honestly so impressed with the quality that came out of the whole debacle. I will admit, I really enjoyed the way that the content felt with jack narrating, but it is completely understandable that he's not doing it anymore. Recently it feels like the channel has been going back to its roots, and I really hope it continues.

My parents have a few trees tapped around our house here in Nova Scotia, and let me tell you, maple syrup is WORK. An entire season's worth of collecting usually results in less than a dozen mason jars of syrup at MOST, and that's only if we don't accidentally overboil the sap and lose some. It's a delicious reward when it's complete, though.

This. It just feels like the new format is trying way too hard now and while I can see this appealing to some, its just half the quality of the previous technique. They should start rewatching the old content and actually let the feeling in to recreate it instead of trying to ape the way the old guy talked.

The problem with the previous method imo was that none of the videos ended up making any sense because they never told you which story was which and you always expected things to be connected somehow but they werent

i work in a winery where we have about 300 bbls (small boutique producer) and i cant imagine draining 3000 damn barrels. I stopped at 3:15 to speculate because it is fun. The inspector guy must have been tired due to the large count. It's generally easy to tell when your typical 225l bbl is empty. Especially if you are climbing them. It is odd to me that he did not notice the second he grabbed one. Even on a stable bbl rack (iirc none of your imagery depicted them on barrel racks) you would notice the lack of heft to them. Barely touch one and you'd easily hear it resonate in a quiet bbl room. After watching. After they abandoned refilling with water I don't understand why they took the barrels remote to just siphon them. A basic siphon hose is small, siphon on site. It doesn't take that long and bring 1 hose per vessel you're siphoning into. Hell, even a barrel wand with a long hose and nitrogen tank or something is easily transportable and not cost prohibitive to acquire. Coming in after hours they could have driven in there with empties on the truck and siphoned directly from the warehouse barrels into the empties. Then driven away. No heavy lifting in the warehouse, just awkward climbing with the hose. On second thought, their lack of experience might have made siphoning too messy to try it in the warehouse. The spills would have been challenging to clean. Kinda makes me wonder what they actually did in more specific terms than just "siphon" which the video here used. They could have afforded a beast mode waukesha pump a few weeks into the heist. That could drain a barrel in like 5 seconds if they really wanted to save time.

If you want an other heist check the 1972 Montreal Museum of Fine Arts robbery. 18 art pieces were stolen, the thieves also stole 38 pieces of jewellery and figurine, for a total of 2 000 000$ (around 14 200 800$ today). The three robbers entered the museum by a skylight that had been covered by a plastic sheet in the course of some ongoing work. One of them was armed with a pump action shotgun and another with a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun. All three guards were overpowered and taken to a lecture hall where they were bound and gagged. The three suspect were never found.
