I love how all of your videos are just straightforward. You briefly explain the process and if I don't get something, I can just rewatch a short bit of the video. And it's honestly so refreshing, because a lot of other Houdini tutorials are like 40 minutes long, unfortunately very boring at times, even though I was very interested in a certain topic. So thank you so much, this is super fun!

I'm trying to do something similar, but in reverse; assembling, but I'm having issues understanding the vellum grains.

But you can timeremap your render so it's on reverse ?

Where would I drop a material node to make the grains a different texture/color? I tried dropping it in both the mocap biped and the agent node, but nothing seems to be working.

I assume that you mean how to shade and render them and not only set the particle colour (which can be done with @Cd)?

Hi! how would you make all those points collide with each other. I trid this setUp. It awesome. thou my new points just fall thru the old points volume. not colliding.

Hey Ryan! I would recommend you to check out sideFX masterclass about grains on their Vimeo Channel: vimeo.com/142534638

really nice! do you know how to export it to 3ds max?
@ShortSweet3D7 жыл бұрын
I don't use 3ds Max so can't help you. Sorry. Possibly through alembic depending on how the alembic implementation looks in 3ds.
@adrian.a.padilla5 жыл бұрын
you can export the file as an fbx animation and import it into 3ds max or maya. Or just use the houdini plugin for maya

You're going a million miles a minute, you could've slowed down a bit and explained what you were doing better.
