Iv'e been inspired by abandoned factories as well hailing from Pittsburgh. Love the structural elements and design and colors. I really got into french industrial design of the early 1900's Art Nouveau. Structural decadence.

It all creeps into the subconscious and finds an outlet. Sometimes it sits and grows for years before blossoming, sometimes a few days. I love it when what we study gets rearranged by our own creative juices and then births something new.

This is awesome. Craftsmanship at it's best. That said, I think this desk is only suitable for writing or infrequent computer use, not working at the computer for hours. Computer desk must be thin to get straight angle in the arms when typing and a different material where the wrists meet the desk. Anything else and you're bound for the world of pain.
