So I Finally did this trick to a few of my friends and their reactions were great. I thought the second switch was stupid but it is actually very easy to misdirect the spectator with your eyes or by saying their names. Thanks Jarek, it really boosted my confidence to show others my tricks

As soon as you do the "real switch" at about 1:27 you just say "now without looking..." and you can even hold onto the card to prevent it from flipping over, but as soon as you do the switch just say, without looking... they'll never flip it over.
@Kman.12 жыл бұрын
Great job. Sure, a person can perform it within 10 minutes of LEARNING it, but LEARNING it will take more than 10 minutes. The one hand split is one of several things that will take MUCH time to get fluid, but again...thumbs up for your performance and tutorial as well!

To master these tricks you must practice, practice,practice. This is a great one to master holding a cut and not dealing from the top. For an amateur like me it took between 1-2 hours a day for about a week practising on my own, but it was well worth it.

If anyone is still here you can do this variation by Andy Field where you dont need to do a top change: start with the queens face to face on top of the deck then hold the 2 aces face up in ur other hand then give them one of the aces and put the other one on top of the deck then do a triple lift and take away the top card which is a queen and they think it's an ace but make sure not to show the face up queen underneath so do that by turning the deck away from the card. So now you do the first switch where you're just explaining to the spectator how you'll do the switch so you'll give them a queen and take the ace from them and put the queen face up on top of the deck then turn your hand over and do a double lift and now you have 2 queens in place of the 2 aces. Please reply if you're in March 2021 and see this comment :)

When I performed the triple lift I held it in the wrong spot and this 7th grader caught a glimpse and called me out mid trick for holding more than one card. I just stared at him for a second and continued the trick. The whole crown went crazy in the end.

i hate triple lifts so my set up is an ace a queen and an ace and another queen, so i double lift for the second ace and they still get a queen, then i switch the queen on the top position with the ace to the second position. Then i drop my hand with the deck down so i can flip over the queen then i place the first ace face up on the queen and turn both over as one so that in the end when i take the ace back it's a queen. Just my version, i find it easier for people starting out.

Oh, wow... hmmm, it really depends on where you leave your cards and how clean your hands are I suppose. If you leave them in your pocket or jacket they could get really crapped up really quickly, just have to take car of them and they'll last longer, I have packs of cards that I got like 4 years ago that still work great because I rarely touch them. Once the cards turn more gray as opposed to clean white around the borders is when I say that's your duplicate pack for different tricks.

@manparido12 жыл бұрын
What i do is get the loop around my palm and get the deck inside the loop, then flick the cards for the audience to choose a card, and then you say like ''look, im pushing it in the middle, and then you push the card by the side not by the front inside the deck (remember, take car out by the front, take car in by the side) then you put the deck in a table or in the spectators hands, perform some waving moves and the card comes out. tip: use brand new deck and talc powder if you have it

I love this trick but I find it very hard to do even after practicing.... and it is complicated. So I took the idea behind this trick and another one my eight year old son does and combined them to do essentially the same trick only much easier. The first thing you do is set the cards as follows: 1. Two red aces - with two black queens behind. (The black queens are on top of the deck followed by the red aces). 2. Lift the cards (actually I usually have them setup in my hand before step 3 below) showing the red aces and not the black queens to the person you are doing the trick too. (The black queens are hidden behind the red aces.) 3. I usually say something like, "I'm unemployed magician...." then follow that up with "This is an IQ test card trick and shows you how smart you are.................." 4. After showing the person the cards place the cards quickly on top of the deck (of course the black queens are on top but they don't know that). 5. Ask the person to hold out there hand and deal the cards while saying, "Without looking can you tell me the card that is on top? Ace of Diamonds or Ace of Hearts?" 6. Ask them to flip over the cards and say - "Hey you screwed up the trick" or just let them marvel and say "Well it's more card trick than IQ test." It is a fun trick....Have a great day.

Actually Blaine does the switching of the second ace a little better/trickier. I forgot the name of the technique but he basically uses a card flick technique to pop the card into his hand. He shows the technique in one of his videos, don't remember which video exactly but it was a more recent one... He said it's actually a flourish technique, not actually made for magic because it's higher risk... I remember this well because it's one of the few times he actually explains a technique he utilizes.
