Your skirt is so cute! But maybe next time try sewing some bias tape on the inside to use as the casing. That way you'd be able to see the whole granny square on the top!

A tip for standing and crochet/knitting is to use a drawstring bag and put ur yarn in there and feed the ends through the opening ❤️❤️ hope this helps someone 👍

I'd add a few rows to make sure we see the granny squares perfectly. If the 2-inch part you put an elastic into was added rows, we'd see every single granny square and it would be even better, It's beautiful and I love the colours though!!!

The only thing that I have ever crocheted was a pink variegated afghan for my baby girl when I was 20, 42 years ago and it was one continuous square. I was so proud of myself that I wouldn’t use it, I hung it on the wall.

Yes, a lining would be a good idea 😁. Also, you could do a ribbed crochet waistband in a coordinating color - that would be cute!

I would guess that any sort of crochet bottoms would stretch out & get baggy once you sit in them (like in the seat area), is this true? if so, how do you prevent that?

I personally couldn't, all those holes in the granny squares would leave me exposed, I don't like people seeing my underwear through my clothing. Is there a way to sew in a lining to cover that?
