Ah. Your hair is so cute curly! Thanks for sharing! i have a similar curl pattern and can't find a store-bought gel that isn't fragranced or works well. Going to give this a try.

You're so welcome! I hope it helps you - it's honestly better than any store bought gel I've used and my hair feels much healthier with this one. So it's worth a try!

Love this as I’ve been wondering about trying it as I’m sensitive to lots of products. and interesting to see you do the refresh later. In high school we used egg whites. Not as economical I’m sure but I know you have chickens so wondered if you’ve tried that? It was crunchy firm at the end the way we did it but perhaps there’s a softer result.

That’s fascinating! No I’ve never tried egg whites and yes this would be much cheaper for most people! But now I want to try egg whites :) This can also be crispy if the hair is drier when it goes on, or if you don’t give it a scrunch afterwards. But done the way I do it, I don’t feel any crunch at all which I love! And unless you have a sensitivity to flax, it would probably be ok as it’s pretty gently and nourishing to the skin. Let me know how it does if you try it!

Now I’m intrigued and need to try the egg whites! Although I think at least here flax is considerably cheaper!
