I love the DIY. It has a simply and elegant look to it. And it also looked to be easy and simply to do. I think it would look cute to have many lace bowls made in different colors too. Thanks for this amazing DIY 😃

Different colored lace is a great idea! I saw red and blue lace doilies at Michael's too so it's definitely possible!

this looks good! thanks for the advice to use fabric stiffener, I've tried this with mod podge and like you, wasn't quite satisfied with how it turned out, I'll give this a try!
@simpleDIYs11 жыл бұрын
Good luck if you decide to try it out! The mod podge vs fabric stiffener thing definitely makes a huge difference.
@Dominican7Chick10 жыл бұрын
simpleDIYs But the Mod Podge brand makes fabric stiffner... It's thicker than the one in the video and my bowl turned out a lot sturdier. It bends but it's not as flimsy. There was no visible difference when I used Mod Podge fabric stiffner
@kirby7777channel10 жыл бұрын
I know I'm a bit late replying, I found this channel out a couple of weeks ago. Did you use plain Mod Podge, or did you mix anything with it? 'Cause I mixed a cup of water with some Mod Podge and got the same results, but I dyed the tips of the doily purple first! ^^

Can also use thin concrete for a stiffer bowl. Helps to put a mason jar lid disk or something similar on top of the balloon before putting the wet doile over it, so the doily bowl will have a flat bottom.

@simpleDIYs11 жыл бұрын
As long as you do not get it wet or put anything super heavy in it, it should last a good while. I can't give an exact time frame, but it is pretty durable.
