Ron The DIY Genius!!! Much L💖VE to you and my fabulous sister Sharon. You do such a great job at explaining each step and task with so much clarity. I've been raised around talented craftsmen all my life. My dad ran his own Plumbing & Heating business, and each of my uncles were masters at their respective trades, one was a General Contractor, Finished Carpenter, Roofer, Painter, and Electrician. My grandfather was a jack of all these trades, so his vision was to teach each of his sons a trade so they could all work together to build homes. AND IMAGE... YOU ARE SKILLED AT EVERYTHING (Carpentry, framing, finished work, electrical, plumbing... and the list goes on). I have such a passion for building and home improvement, I had the privilege of growing up with some of the best... and by far, you are among that number of great men who know their STUFF!!!! Everyone haven't been exposed to it like I have, but even so, you are so precise and clear, you keep the details simple for EVERYONE to understand, even if they don't have the skill level. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Hope you and Sharon are enjoying your vacation retreat!!! Please keep her OFF those ferris wheels lol

Retractable fan blades?! 🤓 Game changer. Ron, great video. I could listen to you all day. Know why? You don't talk too much. Just the facts ma'am. This is the exact problem I'm facing in my bedroom w/the ceiling fan and bed in weird positions relative to each other. It's cock-eyed. You showed me how it's done so now I KNOW it's not a complicated, expensive job. Appreciate it. And, respectfully, your wife (I assume) is a *babe* 😊. Those nails! I die

@@rontalley thats great 👍. I was going to leave it alone when I first bought my townhome but then I went into my neighbor's house & he had his removed & I was amazed by how nice his ceilings looked so I was on a mission after that. I learned a lot about drywall, drywall mud, textures, skim coating, hoppers, repairs, etc in the process So it was well worth my time.

where is this location? minimal insulation and no poly vapor barrier
@rontalley
@rontalley 2 жыл бұрын
NC…Doesn’t get that cold down here but I am planning on adding more insulation throughout the attic in the near future. Couple of times it did snow, I looked at the roof from the outside and the snow stayed put on the roof. I’m from the Midwest and you could always tell when a house has poor insulation when it snowed because the snow would melt because the inside heat would escape through the attic.
@pearlperlitavenegas2023
@pearlperlitavenegas2023 2 жыл бұрын
I would suggest you make sure your attic has proper ventilation. And seal leaks from your homes ceiling to your attic. It does look like you need more insulation. But remember that insulation will never fix a leaky ceiling in the attic or bad ventilation which can lead to humidity & mold in your attic 😳 or ice damming. I'm in Dallas and added whirly roof vents to my attic, I previously had the box vents & wow they made a huge difference in cooling/ventilating my attic. Also I made sure my soffit vents were not covered in insulation & will be adding venting baffles before summer & will seal my ceiling light boxes etc up there. I have been learning how to do all of that on KZbin. I also found out that my bathroom vent, vents out to the attic😭
