Adam: Those who bash on you for your lack of knowledge with cars are more than likely people who get their fix from making themselves look greater - I'd love to see any of these haters attend college, run a business, maintain a relationship, post weekly vlogs with a demanding audience of over 1 million, and learn something new that's equally complex as building cars. I just want to say I appreciate your vlogs - the effort you put into learning how to build cars is inspiring, I didn't have anyone in my life to teach me anything - especially how to work on a cars. Hey Adam just wanted to give a thanks for helping me get through this week with videos and everything to watch. Was in the ER on march 6th for serotonin syndrome from an accidental mix of anxiety meds. Adams hand brake he made is 55$ this one www.fanatec.com/us-en/sim-racing-hardware/clubsport-handbrake-us.html is 99$ and it requires half the work and no Matt help required so if you are a person looking to replicate Adams setup I would recommend this option over his. it's worth the extra 45$ to not have to drill holes and fiddle with pressure sensors and such. Lil trick to make normal treads cut new treads is to take a file and cut a V noch in the tread to create a self tapping type screw. similar to door screws and other interior screws that hold speakers in cars and plastic panels. take a look at the end of one of these screws and you can get the idea on how to use the corner of a flat file to cut the threads.

It all depends on millage, care and what was done to the car by the previous owners. I would recommend getting one imported from Japan, since they are taken care of so much better over there. You can find a clean and well maintained one to import for about 8k all said and done. The great thing is they are right hand drive, something about that just makes the car feel that much more special.

You should just use a momentary switch or a brake light switch, reverse light switch, neutral safety switch from pretty much any vehicle for that handbrake. It'll work/mount the same way as what you got going on now.

the front hole on that master cylinder is the pressure line, the rear is the feed. it would have worked if the sensor was in the right location

you had the brake pressure sensor in the inlet for the master cylinder. so it was under vacuum when you pulled the handle. the sensor should have been in the front (outlet)

I don't know how I got it to work, but I drilled through the rear inlet and had it so the cylinder was pushing fluid out of both holes

if you use a analog sliding potentiometer the game would see it as an axis. it would then know how much pressure is being applied to the hand brake instead of a button.
