I wish I liked coconut water but I am not a fan, that purple juice sounds really good by itself :) I don't like Gatorade but I love Pedialyte and I know Pedialyte says to use within 48 hours of opening (that's why I get the Pedialyte popsicles so I can just freeze them and do it that way). Nice to see you again Amy :)

I would never add anything to coconut water. I love it pure but am really picky. Only like one brand. (vita coco)

@@dreamflight6000 it has to be cold. I store it in the fridge. It‘s coconut water the supermarkets sells refridgerated. I tried others, who weren‘t and didn‘t like them at all.

The coconut water and the salt give you the electrolytes that make it a sports drink.

I like coconut water. It is a good electrolyte but don’t drink too much, it can cause you to run to the bathroom 🥲

All coconut waters are not the same, I learned. The packaging can be so deceiving. It's so frustrating. Like most things, you have to read the actual ingredients and look at the nutrition facts. Many, if not most, of them add sugar/sweetener/fruit puree. I suspect the brand you used may have sugar added since you said it was sweet. Don't give up on your homemade sports drink. Try it again with a different coconut water....just make sure you read the ingredients. Let us know if you do. Good luck!
